This is a good game to introduce kids to Playstation. Liked the concept of saving people which goes along with many of the Rescue Heroes movies. All in all not a bad game. I bought this merely on the concept of expanding his Rescue Heroes exposure to include a video game.
If you have a child who has some prior Video game experience with PS2 or newer systems this will simply be a little old school. I bought this for my 5yr old grandson who is very good at PS2 and Game Boy advance, problem is I think this wasn't challenging enough and seemed a little slow. He seemed to struggle to learn the controls on "how to" do things in the game. Truthfully so did we. It has slower action than more modern PS2/3 therefore i think he lost interest too quickly. Truthfully I was between rating this a good vs average. I don't think it's a bad game at all, however it is simply more for beginners.
My son actually loves this game. But I thought that I would be adding something more educational to his academic career not making him a vid jukie. I I love the rescue heroes dvd's but i could have done w/o this. But he is very happy
