My one-year-old dog loves this movie and watches it every day. I enjoyed it up to the tenth airing. It keeps him occupied so I can get my chores done. i highly recommend this dvd for children, family and pets.
me and my 4year old son love this movie. its great for the whole movie. I love how it teaches about what firemen do. he loves the dog. I think its cute how the dog is a movie star.
It's a cute, light-hearted movie that is enjoyable for adults as well as children. I get so tired of movies that are all about violence, sex, bad language, etc. that this was a real treat.
Great family movie! Instills good moral value and the meaning of family. Reccomend for all ages - My three year old grandson loves the movie and my thirty year old son was entertained too!
what a wonderful family movie!! we laughed and laughed and loved the dog. My 7 year old loved it so much we bought the movie to watch over and over and over...
I rented this from the library and liked it so much that I wanted to buy a copy and did so on ebay. Very upbeat, uplifting, funny movie. Wonderful soundtrack that I would like to have too. A great all around kids movie, for all age level of children over five and up. Especially for families that love dogs.
I bought this for my 4 year old son and he absolutely loves it! He collects fire trucks, and loves anthing to do with fire. He lines up all of his fire engines when he watches it, and he watches it daily! Perfect for a little future fire fighter!
This story is funny and Heartwarming!* This story is about a young boy who finds this dog Rex and become true friends or do they...? but this dog isn't a stray dog wait until the owner comes..........
When looking for a film for my daughter's sixth birthday, the wife and I decided to take a chance on Firehouse Dog. It looked like your standard cheap kid's flick and we didn't have our expectations set very high.
Needless to say, we were very surprised and delighted to find a fun and well-put together family film.
The film centers around Rexxx, a top-notch Hollywood action star who happens to be a dog. He is at the top of his game and has everything a dog could want... including a wig. After a stun gone wrong, Rexxx winds up the mascot of a sad-sack firehouse. He meets Shane (played wonderfully by Josh Hutcherson) and after some initial dislike, the two grow a strong bond and help each other "find themselves".
Overall, the film is pretty good. What I really like about the film is that it had something for everyone. Action, romance, humor, drama... all the pieces are there. Every member of the cast gives 100% and it shows. While this film is no "Finding Nemo", it is still a decent little film with a lot of heart.
As for my daughter's review, the six year old loved it. My four year old really loved it and was so into it that she did not need to take a bathroom break and was a little upset during some of the more intense parts of the film.
Bottom line: It's like Air Bud, but much better. Grab it and enjoy it!
