Final Fantasy Tactics (Playstation)

So what is so special about this game? Why do people spend so much money on a now old game?
Well the answer lies in the title: Final Fantasy Tactics! A tactical Final Fantasy game that really works! As usual with FF games the graphics, music, gameplay and story is really really good.

One other thing is that this game is huge! To really clear everything you have at least 100 hours of fun gameplay.

Also the game is really easy and fast to get into. No long boring tutorials are needed here.

All in all this game had it all and still stands on it's own. ALL tactical games released afterwards have based their content and system on this one.

A must have!

Excellent graphics and game play for a PS1 title. I've played several games that are supposed to be up to par with this but none have come close. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great game with hours of game play.

I love it just cuz i can add it to my final fantasy colection.
The game is really hard it takes allot of consentration and planning.
My frind Andy is adictid to it like its a drug or something, i relly can understand though.
I wanted to buy it because someone finally listed it at a fair price.

All in all its an awsome game that i got 100+ hours out of and am still playing.

My son wanted this game and he says it is perfectly awesome, the seller had good ratings and it is a hard to find game. According to son, it works great and he is happy.

This game was one of the most overlooked games when it first came out. A lot of Final Fantasy fans seemed to think that the break from tradition RPG battling was a travesty. I, however, always loved this addition to the Final Fantasy family. The difference in the battle system is part of what makes the game so much fun to play. The story line is good enough to capture the attention of the worst ADHD afflicted children. I purchased this new copy because my old copy was in such bad condition from so many years of use. I have played it again and again, and will play it many more times.

This is one of my favorite games. It shipped here really quick and the game works great! I would recommend.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a one of a kind game. Its a very unique RPG with a deep story and also Epic battles. I enjoy this game and almost all of its awesome qualities, such as the customizability of your attack squad, there skills, jobs, and equipment. This game gives you total control over how you place your skills and such. I would say that only one who has the patience and intelligence to play strategy games, and the Love a great story for RPGs this game is a Must play!

One of the best strategy RPG's I have ever played. I poured tons of playing time into this game, and loved every second of it. There is so much to do even after you have beaten the story. Unlocking everything really takes a bunch of time, and it's worth it. The story is also one of the best, it really gets you involved in the game.

I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG's, especially if you have played any of the Final Fantasy series!

My 13 year old son BEGGED for this "rare" game and I finally gave in. Let me tell you, if I didn't enforce the time limitations on this game, he would never come out of the basement! The only negative I've heard from him are that the viewing angles are strange sometimes so it's hard to see the other players. Overall a good game and worth the price since he hasn't beaten it YET.

Final Fantasy Tactics is heavenly. 10/10

There weren't many strategy RPG games that were anywhere near as tolerable as Final Fantasy Tactics. FFT cleanly combines great strategy-based gameplay with a very deep character customization system. It was this game and FF5 that really popularized the job system concept. Aside from some translation and grammatical issues, this was a flawless game. It really feels like playing a much improved upon version of chess. With the vast number of jobs available throughout the game, there are virtually infinite combinations of party skills which makes for a wide variety of strategies. The difficulty is moderated very well with the enemies always remaining around your level. Some battles can seem impossible and getting on a bad missing streak can be annoying, but overall I consider Final Fantasy Tactics to be one of the better titles in the whole series and a wonderful game on its own. If you enjoy chess, you'll probably enjoy this game.

This game was my favorite game when I was younger and I wanted the experience back. I loved the story line in the game and also it is like playing battle chess.

What I love about Final Fantasy Tactics is the strategy involved. The game board is a fully rotating 3D battlefield where a young soldier gets himself stuck in the midst of a ragging battle.
If you are a Final Fantasy lover, you will enjoy this game. It has a very high level of re-play-ability. It can be associated with a plot filled chess game !

Great game. Only issue I have is that you are forced to read some of the material over and over again if you lose a battle. I wish there was a way that after long conversations you could save, and not have to go thru the whole conversation when you restart a battle.

I like the game because it still had all the things that came with it intact (the booklet, the original case, etc.) and the disk was scratched up. although there were a little scratches, none were significant. i made the purchase because i thought that the price was reasonable and i love the game.

My only complaint are the unbalanced classes that essentially elimate the resulting inferior classes. Everything else (namely story, gameplay, and music/sounds) is incredible, and overall this game is certainly well worth your time and money. If you like this game, I also recommend Brigandine (PS1), the Tactics Ogres (PS1 and GBA), Ogre Battle 64 (N64), the Fire Emblems (GBA, GC, and Wii), Saiyuki: Journey West (PS1), Vanguard Bandits (PS1), Arc the Lad Collection (PS1 or Sega Saturn), and Suikoden Tactics (PS2). These other products rate well in comparison to Final Fantasy Tactics, as does Final Fantasy Tactics rate well to them. Also, I suggest avoiding Hoshigami (PS1) and Disgaea (PS2).

I'd like to say if you're a Final Fantasy fan then this game and the guide is a must to have to pay game and get all you can out of the game playing. I have played game before without Guide and it is so much more fun and you can get all the items and rare items that are in the game and the hidden charaters to. i've been playing final fantasy for years, so i wanted to take a break from the series to see how this game would play. the game controls are taking some getting used to, but i'm sure within 1o minutes of playing i should get he hang of it.

One of my favorite games!!!! A must play if you enjoy the final fantasy games and/or games such as tactics ogre.

I love this game start to finsh. Original and fresh, turned based combat at its best. Many hours of classic Final Fantasy fun. Love the top view, square tune based system and the story. Many characters and weapons, moves, abilities and magic to get. Tons of different classes for the charcters to choose from and change. I bought this because its a classic if you played it you would buy it also.

Unlike all other Final Fantasy games, FF Tactics is a tactical turn-based battling game where you move your characters around the battlefield like a chessboard. There is no voice acting in this game and no cinematics except for the opening movie. The music in this game is decent but not as great as other titles in the series.

The job system to learn new abilities in the best put together job system I have ever encountered. With over 20 unlockable job classes, the customization opportunities are endless. Most definitely worth buying!
