Final fantasy III was by far the best out of all the games, for the reason they it stayed true to its roots of fantasy, using swords and other assorted older weapons, then of todays games which use guns. In this game you are searching out the Espers, a old power, that could bring destruction to the known world. The gameplay is filled with a great storyline, and I can guarentee you will not get bored with it. This game is becoming harder and harder to find considering its popularity and rarity!
this game is definantly a game for serious final fantasy gamers. an excellent role playing game that can be played for many days giving tons of fun and enjoyment. there is a sense of "i have to keep playing to see what is around the next corner". a very in depth story line appreciated by rpg players that understand rpg games. would recomend this game for anyone who is an avid rpg player.
Final Fantasy III, or Final Fantasy VI in Japan, is arguably the best Final Fantasy in the series. It has it all, addicting gameplay, great graphics, and a killer story. This is one of the defining RPGs and a must own for anyone who is a fan on RPGs.
I really enjoyed the game, it's a classic for the SNES system. The only part I thought dragged a bit is in the second half when the game became non-linear. I bought it because I wanted an immersing experience with an RPG and I got it ten-fold.
A very good purchase. Seller was flexible about buy dates, game works over half the time (which is great considering its about 15 years old and a cartridge game haha), and it even came with a dust cover.
Fantastic game!!! I decided to buy it because I sold it a long time ago, what a mistake!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Final Fantasy 3 (truly 6th in series) tells an incredibly immersive tale about a worldwide political corruption bent on domination and a ragtag crew of many characters joined to fight against this. This game is one of my favorite rpgs as it perfected the rpg formula that many companies tried to copy after its conception. There's a great deal to love: an expansive cast of lovable characters, an outstanding musical score that stands as well as any epic score of today's video games, a deep and enthralling story, a challenging and tactical battle system, plenty of extra quests to extend game time without making it seem like extra grindwork to add hours, and the signature 5 star polish work of Squaresoft. To all who love rpgs and even to those who aren't the most enthralled by them, this game is worth looking at.
I searched Final Fantasy III for a long time ago,and I have found it on Ebay for a very good price even with the delivery charge(to france). I dont regret my bild.
This is one of the few RPG's that i can stand. its a good game. you will not be let down by playing this game. it has some old CG but its an older release of the game. i bought it cause i wanted a good deal on i game that i only going to try. i think i made a good buy.
Don`t think that have to say so much about this game. This is considerd by many the best RPG ever. This is actually Final Fantasy VI and not III. But in the US they called it FF III.
One of the best Final Fantasy Games ever made. Great Storyline, great graphics (For the time) A Joy all the way through. Still own a SNES? There's no reason NOT to own this game!
I bought this for my son, who is extremely happy with the purchase. The shipping time was excellent as well as the price. He had been looking for this game at several stores and i suggested trying Ebay and was fortunate to find it there.
Final Fantasy III (Originally Final Fantasy VI in Japan) is by far the most epic game in the entire series.
The storyline featuring the battle against the empire and their plan to make use of magic with their Magitek armors is the most intriguing of all the series.
Starting out as a nameless girl with a mysterious past you are traveling with two imperial soldiers with the use of magitek armors to seek out the truth about the esper that is said to be located in the mountain.
As you emerge at the mountain top at the foot of the esper an unexpected event will take place. And this is where it all starts.
This game features possibly the best music in the series together with what probably is the best character designs and storyline that Final Fantasy has ever seen.
Square has yet to make a better Final Fantasy than this one and it will forever remain the best classic of them all, beating Final Fantasy VII by a long shot.
Simply put, this game is a classic. Great character development, stunning graphics for the time of it's release and a powerful story make this RPG a must-play. This is the Final Fantasy game that hooked me so many years ago, and even though those that have come out since each hold a special place in my library, this is still my all-time favorite video game.
This is one of the few must own games for any fan of RPGs. The soundtrack is by far the greatest of any video game. The graphics set the bar at the time, and still look good, if a bit drab. The gameplay is standard Final Fantasy, with random encounters and leveling abound. The real reason this game is a gem is the story. This story had no equal at the time, and has only been elevated over the years as more and more RPG's steal elements form it. If you play this then Final Fantasy 7, it is apparent how much of 7 is a carbon copy of this game, including several boss animations. This game is the Final Fantasy staple and should be enjoyed by all
I worked through this beast several years ago. I'll shelf this copy. I'll play the DS remake for memories sake. I would recommend the same. This title is gold in the eyes of any FF fan. Great game too.
One thing far better than playing an emulated copy of this amazing game is actually buying the original cartridge. considered a rarity, this Final Fantasy is an incredibly well presented game. The "Mode 7" style 3d programming pushes the 16-bit console to its very limit. Combinig machines and sorcery, Square have come up trumps with an amazing game feel. Deep, epic storylines of freindship, tradegy and love are combined with a easy to learn yet challenging to master game interface. I was and am still hooked. If you are a role playing fan who can see past 16 bit graphics then you will love this game.
Personally, if you dont like Final Fantasy III and you are an RPG enthusiast, then you dont really like Role-Playing-Games all that much, do you? Quite possible one of the best in the genre and in the series. Absolutely love the addicting storyline and out of the ordinary characters. Most definitely a collectible worth buying and playing over and over and over again.
The title pretty much says it all; this game (and the time period in general) is the apex of the RPG genre. Never before had we seen such a brilliant story, incredible gameplay, rich world, and beautiful graphics (for the time period). This game is still the benchmark by which all others are judged, and is my personal favorite game of all time. If you like RPGs, you will LOVE this game, guaranteed.
This is one of the few games out there that after I beat I still played over and over again, it never got boring. Man I wish I would have held on to mine, I'd like to play it now. This game is what made the FF series great. Great storyline, and characters. If you've never played this, your missing out.
this is the game that started final fantasy.. this is the reason why ff is so popular now... 14 playable players, each with their own skills and weapons.. the fact there is hidden side missions... and the sstory is very good.. a definitely must play
Its a game that was, for the people who played it, an epic of sorts in its day. Most all of the story lines, composed music, game play elements and graphics all were just about as engrossing as you could ever get on this now dated 16-bit console. This is the game where people really seemed to start paying attention to the music Nobuo Uematsu was writing. Every time you played the game different outcomes in how things progressed would and could likely happen because that was how the designers and programmers envisioned it from the beginning. A true classic work of art for the video game RGP genre.
Simply the best RPG ever. Definitely the best of the FF series, past and present. I've played this game start to finish WAYYY too many times to count. This game, along with Chrono Trigger, are an absolute MUST for any RPG fan.
To the other reviewer who complained about Blitz combos: They weren't hard to pull off, and it added to the unique nature and abilities of every character.
I love this game. The fact that each character was unique with thier own set of special abilities, and thourough back story was awsome. the game was extremely well done and is one of the best final fantasies that i have seen. the only other one that rivals it is FFVII.
You can't go wrong with this title. The amount of character back story interaction and depth we're simply unmatched at it's creation and continue to set quite a standard. Magic, esper's (summons/aeons for you fans of the later series) character specific skills such as : tools, Blitz, Morph, Lore's, Throwing, Sketching (need I go on?). This is the game that launch my love of rpg's! If only everyone didn't list it for $30 or higher~!
