Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GameCube)

Personally this is a pretty cool game with about two major drawbacks;one is that the only way to play two player is using a gameboy advanced with the connection cable,now most major nintendofans would probably aready have one or two.The second one is when traveling you must carry a chalice or face death in the game.Also when traveling around out of a dungeon or bosses area you are in a carriage or sail boat that does get pretty old after a while.Other than that the grafics are very good and you can choose from many different caracters and the storyline is long and very good.I do recomend this game to any Final Fanasty fan or RPG gamer that does not look for perfection but,a good time.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a very beautiful and original game developed for the Nintendo Gamecube. Although it may seem like a standard hack-and-slash RPG (and if you play single player, it is for the most part), it has clever storyline, intense boss battles, and a multiplayer mode that requires deticated teamwork. You need a Gameboy Advance and a GBA/GCN connection cable for each player in multiplayer, which is a very expensive requirement, provided most of you friends probably will not have one or both of these. The purpose of the GBA is to conrol each characters movements and provide a seperate screen to handle items and various radar abilities on.

As I said before, FFCC is a gorgeous game with highly detailed characters, enemies, landscapes, and magic effects. Although it is a short game story-wise, collecting all the strength and magic enchancing artifacts and legendary weapons can take a long time, expect to play 60 hours+ on a single character.

Pros: The whole game is beautiful and charming with an original story, the magic combination and seperate screens make it one of the greatest multiplayer experiences on the Nintendo Gamecube, intense boss battles.

Cons: Short story mode, artifact/scroll hunting can get very repetitive, if you want to play the multiplayer you'll probably end up having to buy some extra GBA's and cables, which is expensive.

This game seems to be a ' manna ' type of clone.

Matter of fact it should have been one of the manna series and not of the Final Fantasy.

It handle and has similar game play as ' The Legend of Manna ".

Same 2 player options and all.

The details of how to play the game (i.e changing elements ) are very confusing and hard to understand.

I played for 2 hrs and found no way to save the game. There was no explanation on how to either during the various tutorials.

This was a disappointment for a long awaited Final Fantasy title for a Nintendo system.

Hopefully Nintendo won't get jiped on the next Final Fantasy title for their systems.

The item was used but it has sticky stuff all over the top of the disk.
It works fine in the machine though.

Not your typical Final Fantasy game, but still fun. I bought it being a Final Fantasy fan. I'm not too keen on the combat system, but got used to it.

Well, its a fine game. With espetacular sound tracks and visual effects.
Unfortunatelly, its a bit repetitive, but its definetivally worth of playing...

I had never played Final Fantasy until a couple of years ago and I am saddened that I had missed out on it until then! I owned a Super Nintendo when I was little but always played the Mario games and never tried these. I highly recommend you play it and own it but I will warn you it's very addicting!

This game was challenging, long, and incredibly enjoyable...the way any Final Fantasy should be. The multiplayer function added to the overall enjoyment of the game. Good job Squaresoft!!

The game's okay, but it is truly meant to be a multiplayer game. After you get to a certain point, you'll have to play the same boards repeatedly if you're by yourself, and it can get old fast. If you buy this game, make sure you've got friends that are willing to join in, or get bored quickly.

To begin, you create a character, say goodbye to your character’s family and set out on your own adventure! Along the way, you collect myrrh, a source of energy that banishes Miasma from town by powering the towns’ crystals, Gil, Final Fantasy currency, and creation material, used to make weapons! After you collect myrrh three times, the year ends, and the crystal powering ceremony begins!
