Pros:
'Cute' love story, nice premise
Cons:
Anti-climactic, story is garden-variety and leaves much to be desired. And regretted.
The final installment in Nora Roberts's Three Sisters Island trilogy, Face the Fire is the story of Mia Devlin, a.k.a. the island witch, a business owner (Cafe Book), the most beautiful woman (people say they've ever seen), and the most powerful of the three witches. Mia's witch ancestor fell in love with a silkie, which, according to Irish and Scottish folklore, is a seal that can assume human form. Mia's childhood sweetheart is Sam Logan, who left the island for uni at 19. A decade passes before Sam returns to the island to win Mia's heart back, at which point Mia is no longer interested....
