This cd is great. It has super songs--some rock some love songs. The meanful words and the instruments have passion. He actually sounds like he's singing to a lover or as in In The Air--an enemy. It is a good old cd to enjoy every beat of every song the whole way through it.

I never knew Phil Collins could "blow" like he does; I generally do not like other music if it is not R&B but when my friend put this tape in it blew me away and it's...Let's see how can I say this: This CD has my undivided attention plus the seller did not trick me; it was everything he described and the condition was more than "like new"

This is Phil Collins debut album. It is not one his better solo efforts.
This is not a 'must have' by any means. I did enjoy his cover of The Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows".

Phil Collins' first solo recording, Face Value, which was released on the heels of a distinguished career with Genesis, is still one of his most satisfying works. It also coincided with the break-up of his marriage, which is evident in the painful, biting, edge to many of the numbers. Generating two 1981 top 20 singles I Missed Again and In The Air Tonight, this CD features Collins' tight, expressive, vocals and rhythm and blues roots, combined with stylish 1980's pop.
