Encyclopedia of Antique American Clocks by Harriett Swedberg, Robert W. Swedberg (2001)

The reason I bought this book is because I am interested in building a grandfathers clock. Since the only kits available are quite expensive, I decided to buy a few books and simply build one in the style that I like. This book was helpful in that the pictures are clear and large, and the information was helpful for my purpose. The book is a nice read for someone interested in horology, or is thinking about purchasing an antique clock and wants an overview of the types of clocks commonly seen in shops.
Last month I have started on a colonial style tall case clock, using a picture in the book as inspiration.
