Its not another Saturday Night Live movie – and don’t get me wrong, I like those! – like Night at the Roxbury or the Ladies Man. This is a movie that actually has a plot. Has real dialogue. And ha continuous laughs.

This is actually Will Ferrell’s first leading role and, along with Old School, the movie that cemented him as a comedic star and a $20,000,000 leading actor. Playing Buddy the human Elf, Will Ferrell finds himself lost in the bustling world that is New York City. Whether you are a child or an adult, the gem of the movie is Will Ferrell because he comes across likeably and awkwardly – playing the fish-out-of-water role quite perfectly. The lasting appeal of the movie is that the comedy is good-natured rather than raunchy – making it appealing for all audiences.

Additionally, Elf has great replay value and the DVD is loaded with features and extras. Great lines include:

Im usually not a fan of Will Ferrell, but its a good movie...this is probably Will Ferrell's best..not dirty like some of his other movies. I would suggest watching it! :)

i decided to buy the movie because it is my all time favortie xmas movie, but i can watch any day of the year, i love will farrell in it, i just love the entire movie, always have always will.

my son likes this movie thats the reason why i bought it!! my baby boy likes to laugh alot and thinks it is funny and hilarious. i like will's moves like kicking and sreaming.

Absolutely love this movie. Will Ferrell constantly makes you laugh. The end is not up to par with the rest of the movie, but overall a great flick for lots of laughs.

I just absolutely love this movie. I bought it for my 20 year old daughter because she loves it so much , but I kept borrowing it from her all the time, So I finally bought my own, I'm 45 and it's the funniest movie you'll ever want to see. If your feeling down and need a lift it's always great to watch a Christmas movie anytime of the year. It's a must have movie. Enjoy!

This movie is an absolute RIOT!! I bought it for my sister for christmas, because she liked it so much. But I think I may like it MORE. Maybe I'll buy another.
The only thing I didn't like about it was how stupid it is. But Will Farrel does such a outstanding job, it's forgivable.

This movie is one that every member of the family can enjoy without the sexual innuendos other comedies tend to have. It is lighthearted and fun and full of Christmas cheer! A must see for the season!

Very Funny Movie, Dvd has widescreen and fullscreen versions. I was suprised to see all the special features on the first disc and then you get a bunch of games on the second disc, lots of added fun.

This is a great, fun family Christmas movie. I liked it because the language is pretty clean and few enough instances that it can be overlooked.
