Elementary, My Dear Watkins by Mindy Starns Clark (2007)

I loved this book as well as the other 2 in this 3 book series by Christian author Mindy Starns Clark. Elementary, My Dear Watkins is book 3 of the Smart Chick Mysteries and can certainly be read by itself before the other 2 books in the series. In fact I did read it first and was not lost in the least with any references to events that happened in the 2 earlier books. Mindy is a fabulous author and magnificent mystery writer! She is able to portray characters who live in the real world without coming across as having an effortless walk with God. I found her storyline to be very spellbinding and her characters funny and very real. The only thing I would have to comment on as far as a dislike is that the series is only 3 books long, I fell in love with Jo and would love to read more stories with her as the main character. If you do like this series though, Mindy's first mystery series is called the Million Dollar Mysteries and I am on the last of that 5 book series right now and have a very difficult time putting it down.
