The movie starts out suspensful as Ashley is enjoying a sailing trip and finds her husband dead and blood all over and she is holding the weapon! Ashley is wrongfully accused of murder and Tommy Lee Jones is her probation officer as she escapes a halfway house to seek revenge.

I love this movie, I was surprised that the condition was mint. I was leery about purchasing dvd's on line but I've beeen pleasantly surprised by all but one of my purchases. No scratches and packing in excellent condition.

The double aspect of both drama and suspense compliments the movie's title. Although, its been some years since it was out, the plot was ingenious-enjoyed watching it once again.

Double JeopardyThis is just an awesome movie with Ahsley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones. This movie shows how "greed" can overcome someone and the price another had to pay for that person's greed. I am so glad I now own this movie, so I can watch it whenever I want. JS

This is my all time favorite movie. Ashley Judd is incredible. This action thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat through out the entire movie. It is a must have!

I bought this movie because I lent this DVD to someone and never got it back. My husband and I both loved the movie and I HAD to buy it again! We both love Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd. It seems they are 2 movie stars who only take great roles!

I could not find this movie anywhere. I was lucky to find it on e-bay at a reduced cost. Being used, I was a little scared to make the purchase, but everything went well. When looking for a movie, I will now turn to e-bay.

What a winning combination in Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd! Tommy Lee has his own past hurts and skeletons in his closet. He goes from being a tough officer in the half way house to doing the right thing when truths are uncovered. Ashley Judd is set up, betrayed by her husband, her best friend and the system. She will go to any lengths and does to find her young son. This movie is action packed, loaded with surprises and one to be truly enjoyed. There are no sleeper scenes and the ending is just incredible. Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd...are two great stars demonstrating their massive talents.

This movie is just beautiful. You have the excellent detective style of Tommy Lee Jones and the wonderful suspense and love of Ashley Judd. This movie is worth watching over and over again. It's one of the last good movies out there with this kind of theme.

A word of advice: If you ever find yourself trapped in a confined space, wasting oxygen with your lighter may not be the best plan. That being said, if you find yourself sitting on the couch on a Sunday morning with no particular plans for the day, there are worse things you could do than watch Double Jeopardy. Let me open this review with a little message to movie publicists: STOP GIVING AWAY THE MOVIE IN THE PREVIEWS!! There. Was that subtle enough? Theatrical trailers are there to entice us, tease us, make us squirm at the words "Opens Everywhere, Summer 2000." We should not feel like we've seen all the plot twists and heard all the best lines in the space of four minutes. But that's exactly what I felt like as I saw the previews for Double Jeopardy when I went to the theater to see The Sixth Sense (another film that could have benefited from an ad campaign that showed no clips. When "Double Jeopardy" came out in theaters last year, I didn't want to see it. I felt that I had already seen the film from the theatrical previews I had seen. The previews revealed many things about the film. Things I learned from the preview: 1) Ashley Judd's character is being framed for murdering her husband, except her husband isn't really dead. 2) While in prison she discovers that when she gets out she can walk right up to her husband and kill him.
