I really enjoyed this movie because the plot was great, it had a lot of laughs and it was fun to watch. Bruce Willis meets his past and learns Life Lessons when the Kid suddenly shows up in his life. And I LOVE that Kid! He's pudgy and sweet and honest. The two of them together are a great pair... sometimes silly, sometimes serious, as they try to solve the Kid's mystery. Fun for the whole family....
Love this film. If you are learning to love the kid in you this is for you! Even Bruce Willis is good in this one! Ad the kid-he takes the cake. Enjoy!
Not one of Bruce Willis' usual action, tough guy movies. In this movie, he plays a man who is facing his 40th birthday. He is visited by his younger self (played by Spencer Breslin) who is "the Kid". It is a thought-provoking movie which forces every watcher to remember not only what it was like to be a kid, but for how many of us, life is not the way we expected it to turn out. Lots of laughs.
For anyone who is a Bruce Willis fan, this is a very enjoyable, light, happy ending movie. Bruce does a superb job, and the boy is just a joy to watch he is just delightful. I loved this movie.
Movie is intended for younger audiences but also can appeal to adults. Very good acting, and I enjoyed the humor. Definately deserves a chance. Take the Chance.
Our family ran across this movie at a video store and after watching it one time decided to add it to our collection. Of course ebay was our first avenue for shopping. We found the dvd, won the bid and soon had the movie in our possession. This is a great family movie, interest for all ages. Actors portray parts well, suspense, comedy, and a little action. Extras on dvd are as fun to watch as the movie itself. Would recommend to anyone looking for an evenings' entertainment. Great price and shipping on ebay.
This is one of my favorit movies and I could not find in in any stores where I live for the price I wanted to pay for it. The dvd arrived promptly and it was in very good condition, no scratches or anything. Thanks.
This was a great movie and a lot deeper than you might think. It shows how you can look at your past, deal with it, and move beyond it. We all still have that little kid inside.
This is one of the very best movies ever made. Bruce Willis is fantastic, Emily Mortimer is great, and Spencer Breslin is the the supreme newcomer of the decade. This is a movie that takes you back to reveiw your life, both the bad and good points. I enjoy watching The Kid every few months and never fail to find something new and enjoyable. We need more of this type of movies.
My counselor actually assigned this movie for me to watch to see how each of our childhoods affect who we turn out to be. This movie was so great I watched it half-a-dozen times. I highly recommend this movies for entire families with children in 3rd grade or higher!
When we rented this movie, we knew that the children (not to mention the adults) would watch this one again and again. We all laughed and enjoyed how cleverly the story unfolded. We recommend this to many friends and relatives. View this movie with all age groups.

The Kid vs. Sixth Sense
Review created: 05/05/01

Pros: Humorous, Fun to watch with the kids
Cons: A little too much like The Sixth Sense
Bruce Willis took us into a bit of fantasy when it came to The Sixth Sense. And again, with a very familiar script, does it again with Disney's The Kid. There were so many similarities that it just couldn't be missed. But before I go into those similarities, let me tell you about the movie, the characters, and why I liked it. ============================= The Movie ============================= Russ Duritz is about to turn 40 years. He has grown into a very popular and respected Image Consultant. He owns a beautiful house, with a top notch security system, and one heck of a nice Porsche. He...

This Kid is for the KID in all of us

Pros: I know there are enough reviews of this one. GREAT Family MOVIE
Cons: That it couldn't have lasted longer!
I believe there should be another genre for movies like this one. A genre entitled inspirational comedy . Disney s The Kid is one of few movies capable of stirring laughter and tears within the same scene and if there were ever a movie I wouldn t mind seeing more than once, it would be Disney s The Kid . Always lovable Bruce Willis plays Russ Duritz, an almost 40-year-old businessman who has achieved success through his career as an image consultant to some of the most influential people in the country. He tells the rich and famous how to act, what to wear, how to do their hair. Basically,.

Bruce Willis Gets in Touch With His Inner Kid
Review created: 03/08/01
by: Grouch -- a member of Epinions
Pros: Bruce Willis smirks, Emily Mortimer perks, some of the humor works
Cons: An unforgivably cornball score drenches an already gooey script
There s nothing finer than watching an overpaid movie actor especially one with all the high-dollar smirkability of Bruce Willis get punched in the groin by a waist-high kid. And when that little tyke is Willis eight-year-old self come forward in time to pay him a visit, well then!, the mind reels at the psychological complexities. That s the set-up for Disney s odd little movie The Kid, a motion picture that can t decide if it wants to please the winking, in-the-know adult crowd or the waist-high, silly-groin-punch junior members in the audience. What we get is something like Big Meets Dr....

Pros: Great life lesson & reminder of living!
Cons: A little difficult for kids to grasp true story concept.
In the wonder years of childhood, the innocent kid within us cannot help but to speculate what we will be like in our adult years. We imagine the spouse we will have. We dream about the career that will unfold. And, often pretend play it into a child type reality. Often times we even fathom the pets we will own and what our mansion will be like. More times then not we see ourselves successful and fully content. Boy, life will be grand. After all, it is adulthood when we can do what we want . Fast-forward tens of years later. You are nearing your 40th birthday. When alas, yourself as a nearly..
