Deranged/Motel Hell - Midnite Movies Double Feature (2002, DVD)

I am so glad I finally found this movie!! I used to watch this movie all the time when i was younger. I have literally been on the hunt for this movie for over a decade!!

Its great, everything i expected and more!!!! It was impossible for me to find this movie i called store after store and finally i turned to the internet and i with luck and my friends at Ebay i found it!!!! i was super excited at the reasonable price and the service was great.

I remember Rory Calhoun as the western hero . I remember the ads for the movie , they were cute . Both movies are similar to Psycho , with the dead mother and a motel where the guests disappear .

I bought this DVD because I have a nephew into horror flicks and I felt the need to share some of my favorites, it was so great to get this!! The quality remastering was excellent, and the look on my nephews face as we watched this classic was priceless!! I would recomend this to any parent, aunt/ uncle who frequented the drive in's of the 70's and 80's who has a teenager thats into slasher flicks. He's now a collector, and we spend allot of time watching these great camp/horror classics together!!

I like the spoofy horror movies that are done well, srt of like a comedy/horror. Rory calhoun is such a surprie in this type of movie and he is great. The whole idea of this plot is so gross and funny. I love it! I decides to buy it so I could show it to my son and some friends that had never seen it.

Two very different films, though they go well together enough. Personally I think that "Motel Hell" would be a good double bill with "Mother's Day" and Deranged would go well with "Texas Chainsaw" or "Ed Gein", since Deranged is not a comedy
and Motel is. Motel Hell is entertaining and a bit morbid as well as funny, so any
comedy-horror fan will love it. If you like B-budget movies that are serious you may like Deranged also, it's dark and pretty well acted for such budgets and is
probably the closest film out of all the Gein inspired films that comes close to the actual story of what happened, (Texas chainsaw, Silence of the Lambs. etc..).
This is Tom Savini's first effects film I believe (he did the corpses around the table). I don't know why this is out of print, though it may be due to a short
licensing of one or both of the films. Highly recommended!

It was a movie I saw in the 80's and remembered. tried to rent
it but couldnt find it. Thanks to e-bay I found it and one I had never seen before!! It was well worth the money I paid for it. And I got it fast.

MOTEL HELL IS A HORROR FILM.I LOVE IT WHEN I WAS A CHILD AND IT STILL BRINGS ME HOME ON A FRYDAY CHILLER THEATER NIGHT.THE MOVIE TAKE PLACE AT A MOTEL.THERE IS MURDER AND GOOR.TWO THINGS THAT MAKE A GRATE MOVIE.THE SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE FROM THE 70'S.THEN IT WAS GREAT.THE SPECIAL AFFECTS OF TODAY ARE AWSOME.BUT SOME OF US LIKE TO HAVE A SAMPLE OF THEN.THE PEOPLE THAT RUN THE MOTEL ARE BROTHER AND SISTER.THEY NEED TO KEEP THEIR FAMILY JERKEY BUSSINESS FROM MOM AND DAD RUNNING.THE BROTHER IS A OLDER MAN AND HE FALLS IN LOVE WITH ONE OF PEOPLE THAT IS SUPPOST TO MADE INTO JERKEY.THE SISTER UNDERSTANDS AND IS JELLOUS.SO SHE SETS TRAPS,TO TRY TO KILL THE GIRL AND MAKE IT LOOK LIKE AN ACCENDENT.SO NOW YOU HAVE THE SISTER AND THE BROTHER SETTING TRAPS,ALONG THE ROAD,AT THE MOTEL,BESIDES SOME PEOPLE THAT ARE STAYING AT THE MOTEL DOING THE CRAZY THINGS THAT THEY DO.THE BROTHER AND SISTER ARE FARMERS.THEY RAISE PIGS AND A SPECIAL GARDEN.THE GARDEN IS VERY SPECIAL,IT NEEDS WATER AND FOOD.SO THEY TAKE YOU TO THE GARDEN TO SEE SOME OF THE NEW WAY TO RAISE HEALTHY PLANTS.THESE PLANTS HAVE TO AGE AND GROW.THEY USE THEIR TRACTOR TO PULL THEIR PLANTS FROM THE GROUND.BECAUSE THEY CAN'T PULL THEM BY HAND.THEN THEY TAKE THEM TO A MEAT HOUSE TO PERPARE THEM FOR MEAT SMOKING.AFTER THAT IS DONE FOR A DAY OR TWO,THEN THEY SLICE AND DICE IT UP FOR JERKEY.THEY SAY IT THE BEST IN THE LAND.PEOPLE COME FROM MILES AROUND TO HAVE A PIECE.THERE IS A VET TO COME AND CHECK THE PIGS EVERY SO OFTEN.WELL HE FINDS OUT MORE THE HE SHOULD.ALL OF A SUDDEN HE COME UP MISSING.SO THE TOWN COP NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS.BUT EVERY ONE KNOW THAT HE IS THE BROTHER TO THE PEOPLE THAT RUNS THE MOTEL. THIS MOVIE IS A MUST SEE AT LEAST 1 TIME. AND IF YOU ARE A HORROR BUFF LIKE I AM, YOU NEED TO OWN IT.IT IS A GREAT MOVIE TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION.I KNOW I HAVE OVER A 1000 AND I AM STILL COLLECTING.

Bought the movie for a friend who had been looking for it several months. Saw it myself years back and thought it was a great b-rated horror flick.

Great old movie Motel Hell wanted it on dvd free other movie deranged never saw it until dvd arrived not bad but like a b creepshow or twighlight zone
but MH is great the way they used to make horror movies simple plot no political correctness just gore and suspense with just a dash of nudity for the kiddies makes you think twice b4 stopping at the little town motel unless your into that sorta thing

I never recieved this item, nor ever heard from the seller.I have emailed 'Rory Calhoun' 5 times, no respose. BOGUS!

As far as the quality, the movie is in great shape. I like these cult kinds of movies so I was excited to purchase both of them. The only thing I don't like is that both movies are on the same disc. Not a really big deal but, of course, it the disk is damaged or becomes unplayable, I would lose two movies instead of one.

i enjoyed these movies when i was a kid and i never heard or seen anything more about them till i went on ebay and found the two of them together so i bought them i really like the old horror classics the only down fall was that they used red paint for blood otherwise these are two great classics to have in your collection

it is a great old classic , actually i bought it as a gift , for my father in law who is a rory calhoun fan .
