I purchased this to replace an older monitor. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. I currently have it connected with a vga cable and it produces an excellent image. I am trying to find the best video card with a dvi connection to see just how good this is. I am very happy with this purchase.

Dell Ultrasharp 19" MonitorI bought this monitor to replace the bulky, hot tube monitor on my daughter's small desk. This is an excellent monitor, it has a great picture, it's lightweight, takes up much less desk space, and it uses less power than the old monitor. Her room seems so much cleaner now.
It's more sharp than the brand new ones I saw at the various electronics stores that were going for more than I paid for this one. All in all, it was a great buy.

just what i looked forhi, I had to look for another monitor. my previous one got knocked off the desk and got a big scratch on the screen. since I need a new unit, ebay is the perfect answer because I dont need a brand new piece of equipment. like new works just fine. within a week and a half, I recieved a bigger better monitor for half the cost of a new one. plus the biggest benefit is that I kind of need a bigger better model anyway. of coarse i found that my old equipment is still of use for someone else on ebay too! thx, ed

Reasons for purchasing Dell Ultrasharp 1905FP MonitorI purchased this monitor to match the one that I had previously purchased -- I needed a set. I have been very happy with the functionality of it, especially that is is a flat panel and takes up very little desk space. My primary use of these monitors is to display charts and graphs -- hence, the resolution is very acceptable. I also like that fact that it is a plug-and-play model -- just plug it in, and its ready. I am now wondering if I should purchase a third.

This monitor is crisp and bright, with an uncluttered frame. The adjustable stand is versatile, and the colors are true, right out of the box, though graphics professionals will still want to calibrate every few months. There are four USB 2.0 ports (two on the side, two below) which act as a nice hub for attaching flash drives, or even your other peripherals, like webcam, printer, scanner, or graphics tablet, reducing the tangle of wires under the desk. This is a great monitor for stepping up to DVI from VGA.
