I like the AXIM X3 because it is rather cheap and still a powerful handheld pocket P.C. The only problem is that it breaks easily. Make sure you have a protectice case to protect it from falls. In short it isn't G-Shock.
Anyway, I bought this item because I dopped mine and broke the LCD and I would like to replace my Broken LCD with this one.
Furthermore buying a broken AXIM X3 is a lot cheaper than buying a new replacement LCD.
I like almost everything about this unit. The negatives are the extended battery makes it somewhat bulky. It could be a little thinner overall but does have a great screen size. It would be nice if the screen could be switched to portrait. The other thing that has always had me frustrated are the touch sensitive screens. They break too easily. Someone needs to design something more durable!
my husband is on the road alot and his old job issued one of these. The owner who had it before, really didnt use it.. It works wonderful..not to mention when you are waiting... you have games to play on it...
Dell is pushing their new 50 series Axim handhelds so the Axim X3 and X30 series are last generation. What that means to me, is that the price is right! The Axim X3 has built in wireless and blutooth capabilities, can play movies and mp3 files, and is small enough to carry anywhere. There is a wide selection of games and programs available, and with Secure Digital cards reaching capacities of 4GB, there is ample space to store nearly anything your heart desires. I purchased one of these two years ago for about $80, and bought another for my daughter this year for Christmas. Now my Dad and step-Mom both want one. I think it is one handheld model that gives you the most bang for the buck.
