I haven't played many fighting games as of lately, but this is by far the best fighting game I have ever played. I was extremely impressed with the soundtrack, and if you like hip-hop (even a little bit) you will appreciate the song selection and audio clearity.

The Graphics are awesome. It's hard to beleive how life-like the charecters look. I have already spent hours playing this game, i dont see the end of me playing it anytime soon.

This is a really fun game. You can go wrong if you like this genre.

I have played every Def Jam on the Playstation since Vendetta on ps2. This one is much different. It's like an actual fighting game. No super moves, no rings to confine you, just good old fashion brawling. The scratch system is a very creative idea and adds something to the fighting. Knock your enemy into a speaker that looks like background clutter, hold L2, rotate the right analog stick, and knock him halfway across the stage, doing extra damage to your enemy. The graphics are some of the best I'v seen, and I love hip hop so the music is just right. Fun game. I recommend it.

Graphics are nice, the stores had some of the illest ish I've ever seen in a game. Fighting takes some getting used to, mostly utilize the right stick for hard hitting moves. But, once you get the hang of, you can rock some serious ish. Definate must have for any PS3 owner. Peace!

This game is pretty good all the way around I wish they did alittle better with all of the graphics which this system is able to do, but for one of the first games made for this system it is pretty fun. I liked the game play which was fun for awhile, but like all the other def jams you do get tired of almost the same things over and over. If you can get this game cheap I'd tell you to give this game a good try.

OK, all the previous Def Jam games were always good for some good old fashioned knock down, bang out, bloody fighting to some up to date hip hop that most games don't have. This time all we got were really good graphics and the hip hop. Who redesigned these controls and what were they thinking? They suck. Why do the backgrounds randomly explode? I know there is the "special" feature (like the Olympics) where you can control the DJ and blow things up, but even without that the background randomly explodes. On the up side there is still plenty of bloody moves to do and the characters look just like who they are supposed to look like. Buying this game is really a toss up. I wouldn't do it again if I could go back, but the controls will take some serious getting used to if you decide to give it a try. I say rent it!

I dont play to many fighting games, but this game got me addicted from the first touch of the controller. Def Jam Icon has very good graphics, and game play, the music is really good and keeps you entertained. It has a very good storyline and put together very well. Lots of moves to learn and master for each character. And also you can play with your favorite rap/hip hop superstar...

I recommend this game to anyone that like a good fighting game, or just want to try something different, I guarantee you will really enjoy it for days to come
