I love this movie. Laurence Fishburne gives a great performance as a cop working undercover as a drug dealer, infiltrating the street trade. Jeff Goldblum raises his stock as an attorney looking for financing to begin distributing his own "synthetic" drugs. The action is fast, Goldblum's one-liners are hilarious and the story displays how some undercover officers may feel like they are "cops pretending to be drug dealers when they're drug dealers pretending to be cops." I have seen this movie before and I have found that the only place to find it is on eBay.
One of the grittiest, best done drug films. Well before NEW JACK CITY or any of the other modern day "hood films", this looks at the drug scene from a different level. Not the street thug, but from the position of the upper echelon distrbutor. Chilling film. WHy u don't have this in your top ten is beyond me. Great performances by Fishburne (Should have gotten an oscar) and Jeff GoldBlum. Surprisingly good bad guy by the guy who played Rodriguez in Barney Miller. A++++
