Days of Thunder (1999, DVD)

This is one of those movies that for some reason I'm always drawn to whenever it's on cable. It's nothing new really-- basically Top Guns on wheels-- but I still like it. What makes it so good is the music. Hans Zimmer wrote an awesome score and it's his best. He's written scores for several Academy Award nominated films but oddly enough his best work can be found here. So combine this with the great visuals and a pretty good, though unoriginal, story, you have a pretty entertaining film.

Great movie, for anyone who is a Tom C. fan and a racing fan then you will lik,e thos movie.A++++++++

I purchased this DVD to experience the chemistry between Kidman and Cruise as they began their relationship so long ago. It was a fun, exciting film and I am so glad to get it into my collection.

My fiance has been looking this movie for awhile and I found it here and bought if for him. My favorite part is the wheel chair race. It hits male competitive-ness on the nose!

If you like Top Gun and like racing you will like this movie. Tom Cruise is a racecar drive and is very competitive. Its kind of a like a remake of the good ol Top Gun but with a racing side.

i have seen this movie on tv and just wanted to own it for my collection.there is nothing else to write about. have put every thing in the first sentence.

This movie is still really good for it age. Tom Cruise at his best. Great acting. Good story. Has just the right amount of racing scenes( not too much, not too little). A must see if you like Tom Cruise, racing or just a good movie.

I bought this movie for a gift for Christmas for our brother. He really likes movies. I like the movie also that we bought him! It was a perfect gift choice. I bought this not for it's cinagraphic allure and outstanding acting... But because there is a huge Nascar fan in my family...

I bought it because my boyfriend wanted it for his birthday. I got it in time for his birthday and he and I are pleased with the purchase.

I LOVE this movie...it is reeeeeeeeeeeeeally good, despite the fact that it is centered around RACECARS...I LOVE IT...just the storyline makes it GREAT. and, it was done before good ol' TomKat went INSANE...I LOVE Robert Duvall, and he is AWESOME in this movie...Nicole Kidman isn't bad, either, considering my UTMOST distaste of her...!

One of the greatest racing movies ever! And one of Tom's best roles. A must have for any Nascar fan, or just about anyone that loves the rush of racing!
