Day After Day - Badfinger (CD 2005)

When this live performance was recorded, I was in the audience. The quality of the live sound was awful, but the performance was very good indeed. The band was very much alive in concert, and I've always wondered why they never released a live show before this CD came out. The most pleasant surprise is the fact that the poor sound quality of the live sound system didn't hurt the recording. The band was always "hot" live, and played a few choice covers as well as some of their better known recordings. This was done in the days before a good live piano sound had been accomplished, so they had to do things using only guitars. If you enjoy Badfinger, and ever saw them in concert back in the day, this CD provides a pretty faithful rendering of them at the time. If you haven't had the pleasure, I highly recommend it as a good solid live album. Well worth a good listen.
