GROWIN' UP SPRINGSTEEN IV: "i believe in a promised land"

Pros:
Keen and realistic rumination on the erosion of the American dream.
Cons:
Not as musically exciting as earlier (and some later) works.
It happens to the best of us: life reaches a sort of crossroads, a tumultuous sort of catalyst where you can sit back and cry about it, or you can do your best to make it better. I'm going to assume, for the benefit of this review, that anyone bothering to read the opinion of a writer of minor popularity dissecting, essay-by-essay, the discography of Bruce Springsteen, MUST be an avid (perhaps downright rabid) music lover; either that, or you're just a huge fan of my writing. I'm going to assume it's the former, because I'm relatively certain that the only person truly amused by my writing is.
