I bought the used CD with good condition but pay the half price as new one. I don't feel any different when I enjoy the music from the used CD. Also I couldn't find some old published CD in music store but I can find on ebay usually. That is reason why I often I buy some stuff on ebay.
I bought this item because of the song Dance with My Father. After my Grandpa passed away my cousin Justin had me listen to it and it definately hit home. I decided after hearing played then, at the viewing, and at the funeral that I needed the CD. The CD came with no scratches and plays really well I listen to it all the time I absolutely love it. Thank You "you wouldn't believe how much closure this song brings me"
This is the last CD of the great Luther Vandross and it does not disappoint. How tragic it is that he was taken from us so soon but this terrific collection of solos as well as collaborations only adds to his fine legacy. I look forward to enjoying it for many many years to come.

"Dance With My Father": Luther's Latest Masterpiece

Pros: Luther's voice...still one of the best in the business
Cons: Pretty insignificant...a couple of yawn-inducing ballads.
Unfortunately, as I write this review, Luther Vandross lays in a New York hospital, comatose since suffering a stroke nearly two months ago. It's a shame, because at this point in an illustrious career which has found him noted as perhaps the premiere soul singer of the past 25 or so years, Luther should be basking in the consistency of his career. Since his solo debut in 1981, Luther's albums have never been worse than slightly above average (the covers collection "Songs" being the one exception). His latest, "Dance With My Father" contains Luther's signature mix of exquisitely sung ballads..

How Easy It Would Be, If Only I Had His Voice

Pros: "The one, the only," does not apply to many, but it applies to Luther.
Cons: Too many distractions, especially the portions with hip-hop.
As hard as American Idol Ruben Studdard may seem to try, his voice will never match the utterly smooth, easing quality of Luther Vandross s; the latter is perhaps the greatest voice of American R

Luther Vandross' Dance With My Father Is A Mixed Bag

Pros: That voice
Cons: What is this album trying to be?
I was saddened as everyone was when I heard that Luther Vandross had a stroke and slipped into a coma. He's now out of intensive care, and hopefully feeling a lot better. I read that his mother said she thinks it was caused by stress and his own indulgence because of that stress. She said he was working so hard to finish this album and started eating like crazy after working so hard to keep his weight down. I know Luther had said at the time that this album was the best material of his career. I'm not the most knowledgeable Luther fan, but after listening to this album, I think he had good...
