I had originally read these books when I was in my early teen years. I was impressed then - I am flabbergasted I could be so callous in my opinion. I had missed so many levels and dialogue that I think it is time to bring my error too light . THIS IS THE BEST SPACE OPERA WRITTEN IN THE GOLDEN YEARS OF SCI-FI. It reminds me a lot like the Star Wars which is cinematography version of Space Opera. I wanted to relive some of the books and compare my feelings between then 40+ years ago and today. What a difference! Try it and see what I mean - it doesn't have to be this series but something you read when you were a teen, you might be surprised what you missed!
