Classic survival-survival game! This is a 3rd person game similar to Resident Evil that breaks into 1st person when in combat mode, similar to Doom. In the game you actually hunt animals to keep yourself alive! This game, unlike other horror games, takes place in the snow, which adds a very cool atmosphere.
The director of all of the "Laura" games (Kenji Eno) needs to give up trying to make games and work in cinema. After all, why is he working in games if his ambition is to make them so incredibly cinematic as to concentrate on this at the expense of gameplay. This game in not scary, the gameplay is repetitive and cumbersome. The environments are also extremely repetitive (does wandering around in a snowfleild for four hours at a time sound exciting to you?). This is an example of how NOT to make a survival horror game, cinematic or not.
I lovely this game. I decided to buy it because he has a good history, good graphics ( considering the years) and it is a very rare game for dreamcast. Ok, that's it.
For the 1st this game is pretty rare and usa is the only eng speak version. (never released in EU pal) Another thing is that its near impossible to make a back up of it cause you cant downsample the game enough to make it fit on 4x 700 MB CD because its a full 4x GDrom. The real sequal to D for psx and saturn. (not Enemy zero for saturn that many considered to be the sequal) It have the classic click n go system and some new cool stuff. It also combines rpg and shoot em up at the same time and of course some resident evil feeling in to it. Ill say worth adding to the DC before its away for good. havent succed in running it in the emulator yet due to its a big GDrom so get it!! Titan
