Curtis RT700 7 in. Portable Television

I bought this little tv because the price was right. It comes with numerous accessories, so you might say it has all the bells and whistles. On the down side it seems to have analog tuning , so it will require a converter box in the near future. You really need a strong signal to use the on board antenna. That is not available in the rural area I live in, so you may need an auxillary antenna as well. If you have the old style two wire antenna available, there is an adapter included. If you receive your signal through a co-ax, you will need to purchase a different adapter. I found mine on ebay for $1.99 plus S&H. (a total of $6.01) You may be able to find one elswhere cheaper, I don't really know. The picture is very good if you have a strong signal, and the tv is simple to operate. It is nice if you receive the instruction book in english, as you will need it to set the little thing up. (or you can learn French). All in all I am satisfied, but not thriled. It was as listed, but if I had known it had only analog tuning, I would likley have bought somehing else. It makes an excellent set to moniter my dvd recorder, and that will likley be its primary function. If you are considering purchasing one of these, I hope this review has helped.

great picture but the sound stoped working after about 6 hours of use. The Headphone port still work however.

All you need is a coax. plug in adapter and the TV is ready for cable. Easy to tune. Great little TV.

If you purchase a no-power required external antenna (read rabbit ears) you will get better reception, very acceptable as a matter of fact. However after speaking with the manufacturer, as of Feb 2009, without purchasing a seperate digital converter, you will have a "nice paperweight"...their words not mine.

A seperate digital converter defeats the battery power option as the converters are all 110v... Be very careful buying now and specifically ask if the unit can process digital signals as is and will operate properly come Feb 2009

The tv tunes in good but I can't get every channel but the channels that comes in has a very clear picture.

It looks nice but for watching broadcast TV forget it. Signal is poor, fuzzy picture. Nice mounting kit though, works great and easy to adjust.

I love small tvs. and I already have two,but I want another one for my other daughter, and I am sure she is going to love it too.they are so handy and you can watch your favorites programs every where,because they have a great reception .

Well,been a ham (radioamateur) for many years and having purchased recently a radio made by Icom (Japan) model IC-7000,decided to look and buy a small monitor to hook it up to the radio composite video output and then found this Curtis 7" monitor that for a decent price is working great,what I like the most is its image,very nice colors and definition.What I dislike: NOTHING.I simply love it and its the perfect choise for my application.Thanks for selling an excellent quality product.

Bought it for a monitor for a dslr camera but haven't been able to match up. Reception of tv is poor.

Only thing I need is instructions on setting programming. It won't go past channel 9--can't get any channels past 9. Am writing to seller to see if he can help out? I purchased the TV for the portability and convenience. It's the perfect size to take with you in the car or if you go to a sporting event. The reception is good and you can use it to view the game you're at or even in the event of bad weather it could be used since it has a battery option. I'll get plenty use out of it.
