The "cartoon" animated Curious George movies are better. This doesn't hold my four-year-old daughter's attention and I'm not that interested in it. We have the new "cartoon" animated movie of Curious George and it is a lot more fun to watch.
It's a fun kids movie, perfect for my 3 year old son, and my 4 and 5 year old boys don't mind watching with him. The story lines are cute and the escapades are harmless.
What I don't love is the voice they used for George. I really dislike those fake-baby-voices and I wish he spoke real words instead of grunting and squeaking.
Overall, I recommend it and think it is cute. It is more and more challenging to find decent, wholesome kids entertainment, and this one fits the bill.
I was just a little dismayed to find this to be claymation. Little george is very cute and amusing. He just doesn't have a voice.
The stories included are not just entertaining, but important. Hospitals, travel, and new places are presented in a non-scary way. Even surgery...George who needs to undergo a procedure comforts a small child in the hospital.
My toddler (2 yr. old boy) loves these episodes, so that's all that counts here. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone with a wee one.
my granddaughter loves Curious George and the price was right for Christmas. She is getting a DVD player for long trips to west virgina and she is only 2 so this will keep her busy
I bought this DVD not so much for Curious George, but because it has the Frog & Toad Are Friends and Frog & Toad Together stories. My kids fell in love with these when we borrowed VHS tapes from the library, but the videos are out of print and I couldn't find a copy for us to have at home. I happened across a review on Amazon that mentioned this Curious George DVD had these two videos included, so I jumped at the chance to get it. My kids were thrilled to have Frog & Toad, but also ended up loving the Curious George shows and Morris Has a Cold as well! The vintage stop-motion animation is charming, in a way - a nice change from all the computer generated shows and my kids were intrigued by it. They really enjoy the bonus feature about the making of Frog & Toad, which shows how stop-motion animation is created. This DVD is probably mis-named, because it has more bonus features than it has Curious George stories, but it's a wonderful addition to our home library!
I decide to buy it becasuse my daugther love curiuos george, she enjoy the 2 histories about george, but she does not like the other 2 histories that coming in it.
I purchased this particular DVD for my three year old son. He loves it. Initially I thought he would not like it but needless to say I was sadly mistaken.
I bought this for my two year old who absolutely loves Curious George. But, after I received the dvd and seen that one of stories on it is about George swallowing a piece of a puzzle I decided not to let him watch. With him only being 2 years old, I didn't want to give him any ideas. I would not recommend this if your child is too young and unable to understand.
