Overall, this is an excellent product, but I can not give it 5 stars for one reason: the grinding mechanism. It works as advertised, but it is VERY loud.

One of the features is a built-in timer. You can load up the coffee maker with the desired amount of water and coffee beans before you go to bed so you can be woken up by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee coming from your kitchen. In reality, you will probably be jolted out of bed by the sound of the grinder long before you ever smell the coffee! If you want to use pre-ground coffee, you can turn the grinding mechanism off with a simple press of a button.

On the positive side, it also includes a replaceable charcoal water filter which is good for about 60 pots of coffee. When you start off with the best water possible, this assures a perfect cup of coffee.

In conclusion, I have no regrets over the purchase of this product and would recommend it to others.

I bought it because it had a grinder built in, bad choice. The water/steam runs thru the grinder, making it a goey, mud-pie like mess every use. The machine leaks, I think, it could be steam accumalation making water run down the wall of the machine behind the pot. The grinder, which I do not use any longer, is so loud it wakes the entire house up. The hot plate the pot sits on also leaks, I'm not sure what is coming out. I would have loved to return the machine, but by the time I would have paid for the shipping, it was cheaper to just keep it. Be careful, the company gives you only seven days to get ahold them get for some numbers you must have in order to return items, in my eperience the were not quick or polite.

I am actually on my second coffee maker of this same style. It does have it's flaws but it was the only coffee maker that I could find that had all of the qualities I wanted. I wanted the built-in grinder and the thermal pot both. There are a lot of parts to clean which is kind of a pain but the flavor of the coffee from this device makes it worth while. You really do need to clean all of the parts with each use or you are asking for trouble. It tends to get pretty dirty if you don't watch out and then (at least with my first one) the grinder started having problems. It got to the point that I had to use a screwdriver to pry it out each time and there were coffee grounds all over the place after I would use it. I tried to replace the grinder with a new one but apparantly the problem was in the machine itself so that didn't solve my problems. Obviously, I loved the coffee maker or I wouldn't have spent the money to buy the exact same one again. (it isn't cheap) I would definately say that is the best one on the market right now (at least for fitting my personal preferences) but hopefully by the time I have to replace this one there will be a better selection to choose from.

I was greatful to purchace the grind and brew coffee pot. I had one just like it but we have hard water and after 6 years it just would not brew very fast anymore.I am very happy with it. Great price great product.

Love the coffee it makes, after only three weeks we started having problems with the "filter basket system". It releases with a button, then "slides" forward on a spring loaded mechanism so you can fill or clean it. It doesn't take long before it began to stick and hang up. Why not a simple swing out compartment? The grinder works wonderfully, though it does sound like a Leer Jet spooling up in the kitchen, we have it set on auto in the morning, so don't need an alarm clock any more. But it does make the most wonderful coffee....

the product is every thing that i hoped for.Hopefully with continous use it will hold up to the manufactures promiss.

This coffee maker makes a great pot of coffee. My only dislikes are that there are a lot of parts to machine, and you have to clean the grinder out thoroughly each time you use it. Other than that, this is a great coffee maker to have.

I ordered a replacement carafe for my coffee maker. I like it because it works with my coffee maker and it is hard to find even on the internet. I bought it because my other one was broken.

We have two of these coffee makers in white and brew a pot or two a day. We have one for caffeinated and one for decaf. I like the quality of this machine. We have had the first one for 3 years and only had a slight problem with the base part of the grinder. I ordered a new part for little to nothing and it runs like new. With it being white the lid to the coffee maker does stain (to be expected). All parts come out easily and are easy to clean. It comes with a scoop so you don't have to try to figure out how much to measure for beans or ground coffee. On the other end of the scoop is a brush so you can clean or dust out any debris when cleaning. You can program it to brew at whatever time you want. As with any grinder, they are noisy, but only for a few seconds. With the gold filter you do not need a coffee filter although we do use one. The machine does come with a small filter at the bottom of the water reservoir and helps a great deal if you do not already have filtered water. We have a reverse osmosis water filtering system for our drinking water and don't notice a difference in the taste. The coffee comes out good to the last drop! The coffee maker will shut off automatically in case you forget. You can order new water filters through your manual or any parts you may need. It is not recommended to wash any of the items in your dishwasher. Over all this coffee maker has been a dream come true and when you brew a pot in the morning with freshly ground beans the pleasant aroma will wake you up with a smile on your face guaranteed! Over all, I highly recommend this coffee maker. It is made in White, Black and polished stainless steel. I hope I have helped you. Steve

This coffee maker is the best I have ever owned. I recommend this one to anyone. I love the timer feature even when you use whole beans. Even comes with a water filter.
