Crucial Conversations by Al Switzler, Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillan (2002)

Crucial Conversations is one of the best self help books I have ever read. The book is an eye opener to the games we all play when trying to communicate with each other. It describes communication tactics and pitfalls from all levels of life including professional to personal. I have always thought of myself as a great communicater until a superior at my company told me that I wasnt. Of course I was offended by this statement. He recommended I read Crucial Conversations and actually loaned me his copy. The book changed me life and I learned alot about myself that I actually didnt realize before. He was right. I have since bought 3 copies of the book. This book is an excellent buy for those who think they are great communicaters.

I recieved my book in good condition but it took a long time to get. Almost 2 weeks. Other than that I was very pleased with my purchase.

This book is both enlightening, powerful, and filled with ways to make your life a better place in both the home and office.
How many times have you felt like the conversation was escalating and the conclusion was no where in sight?
A combination of stories , suggestions, answerers, and hands on work, makes this book a must read. The authors have compiled various ways to over come the situations many of us dread. This book won't solve your problems with hard to reach people people. The book does give great insight on , both your actions and reactions to difficult people.
