Let's get this straight: No one likes box-sets. A lot of the time it's cheaper to buy the single albums one by one and the only reason heads buy them is to get the "rare" singles cd that might be included or to get the color booklet that is sometimes added. Other than that it's usually much easier to buy the albums, plus you get the songs not included on the box set. But this ones different. Clapton has so much music out it's by far more cost efficient to buy this box set. On top of that you get some added bonus songs here and there. i came across this set of discs in a readers digest catalogue and was pretty much glued to them since the day they arrived in the post. i didnt know much of claptons music before i heard it (mainly just the pop. stuff like tears in heaven and layla)and was i surprised when i heard the, well , fab material that lies beneath the crossroads cover. What makes this collection so great is it goes through the history of claptons career from the beginning and colaborates the music with a consice history in book form, which is indeed quite fascinating(esp. for the uneducated on clapton such as I)So...
