The item is good by it's specification. I just thought that it had FM tuner. It would have been great though. Overall, the easy way of storing audio/music files are so easy.

  rating a muvo (128mg) mp3 player

I like everything about it, I have my songs downloaded to it and I use it when I exercise. It is not big and bulky and doesn't get in the way. We can hook it into our jack on our home stero system and play it over the speakers. I have purchased one of these for everyone in our family!

Shuts down as and when it likes! Lousy Product!
Review created: 04/18/06

Just months after owning the player, it shuts down as and when it likes. The company's service center constantly asked me to download an updated version of the firmware for the player. It worked a few times, but the auto shutdown problem kept recurring. It was highly annoying and disruptive. Then to make matters worst, the player started turning off each time I plug in my headphones! I brought it to the service center, and the “BEST” they could do was sell me another player! Like I would want to pay more to go through the whole experience of auto shutdowns again!

  Great if it only worked
Review created: 01/11/06

After a week or two, mine started turning off randomly and eventually stopped responding. Since it was so cheap, I bought another. This one I ruined by getting out of my car while it was still connected, visibly ripping out the USB connector. Since I had done this with the first unit, although it still worked, I figured that's what messed it up.

So I bought it a third time (it's only $20). After replacing the battery, it turned on once and it was unresponsive again. I reseated the battery and now it won't even turn on. This is the second day I've had it; I didn't even get a chance to use it.

Perhaps the players I bought were inexpensive for a reason, and maybe the newer versions are more durable. But I'm not taking any more chances on this player again; three times was already absurd.

  A great basic MP3 player.
Review created: 12/03/05

I got this MP3 player for Christmas in 2004, and it has been a great MP3 player ever since. The 128MB flash memory storage space holds a decent amount of music, and the sound quality is very good. Since this player is solid state with no moving parts, it's virtually indestructible. It's included audio organizer is great, but the media player gets a little intrusive and tries to take over all of your file types. Not a big deal if you know how to assign file types. The only real drawback is that there is no LCD screen. If you've looking for an MP3 player thats easy to use and easy on the budget, any of the Creative Nomad players make perfect picks.

MuVo Improves My Day, Viewed 4,601 Times...
Review created: 03/12/03

Pros:
Automatic Shutoff, Ease of Use, Small and Simple

Cons:
No Way to Program Tracks, Only Plays in Order Songs Were Loaded, Slightly Pricey

The Creative MuVo is an ultra-compact digital music player that will allow music enthusiasts to easily transfer MP3s, WMA files, or regular data files from place to place with a USB connector, and can hold up to two hours of music. This device, designed with ease of use in mind, weighs less than an ounce, and is only slightly larger than your average butane lighter. Thankfully, the MuVo will play for up to 12 hours on a single AAA battery. No special drivers or cords are needed to operate it. The MuVo comes with a set of bud headphones, and a lanyard if you want to carry it around your neck,..

The Creative MuVo 128-Who Knew a 128MB Flash Memory USB Drive Could Sound so Good?
Review created: 05/13/03
by: nc10-- a member of Epinions and Advisor in Electronics

Pros:
Small, light wt., ease of use,128 mb, sounds great, mp3, wma support, USB flash drive

Cons:
Somewhat expensive, Warranty only 90 days!, not expandable

The Creative Labs NOMAD MuVo 128MB is a ultrasmall, lightweight flash memory based mp3/wma player which doubles as a 128mb usb drive. Powered by one AAA battery, the Muvo 128 (in reality holds ~123MB of files) weighs in at 1.3 ounces including the battery, with dimensions of 2.9" x 1.4" x 0.6", about half the size of a deck of cards. A few weeks before Mother's Day my wife mentioned that she would like to have an mp3 player to listen to when walking and exercising, something smaller than a cd player. Having had good luck with a Nomad II that my daughter owned, and had recently purchased a...

Creative Labs MuVo MP3 Player - Simplicity by design
Review created: 04/09/06
by: jkafer -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Excellent sound, small form factor, uses only 1 battery, works with Audible and DRM WMAs

Cons:
only 128 Megs of storage, no readout whatsoever

The early days of MP3 players had memory based storage. It wasn't until a little later that the iPod and it's hard drive solution took over the market. The Creative Labs Nomad MuVo 128 MB MP3 Player is an early example of the memory based player and while the small storage limits its usefulness, it is still a solid unit. Hardware The Creative Labs Nomad MuVo 128 MB MP3 Player is a super-small MP3 player that consists of 2 parts: The USB memory stick and the battery compartment. The actual player is fully contained in a USB thumb drive smaller than a stick of gum. This slides into the...

Pros:
Ultra-Portable, No Software To Install, 1 Battery, 128Mb, Doubles as Digital-Storage-Device

Cons:
Not Expandable, No Display, Low Volume, Slow Data Transfer, Basic

The Creative Labs Nomad Muvo holds a skimpy, in todays world, 128Mb on in its little... device but it is more then an Mp3 player as it can also be used as a digital storage device. There the sound quality is good, not 10/10 but good and there is no display so you have no idea what youre listening to! Nevertheless the Nomad Muvo is a good Mp3 player for its price and can be useful in the most unexpected times. Pros: - Ultra Portable - Light - 128 Mb - Low Price Tag - Portable Digital Storage Device - 1 AAA Battery - Supports WMAs - No software to install, no card readers to use! Cons: - 128 Mb.
