this is propably one of the most copied games right behind GTA. the idea is so simple yet so darn addictive! you basically run around the entire city(which is huge.)and you have a limited amount of time. you either get a fast rating(green) ok rating(yellow) and slow rating(red, and if its red they will jump out of the car because you are too slow.
this game truly is orginal and was ported over to the ps2 xbox and arcade because it was such a huige hit. this was dreamcasts 1st killer app. and now you can pick it up for about $3 on ebay. so i highly suggest you go buy it now you deff. wont regret it!
please reccomend wheather or not this review was helpful or not! thank you!

The overall average of the game is 9 Stars out Of 10 Stars. If you like racing games then this game is definately for you.

Great Game.. Fun and a little addictive...Keeps you playing..I wouldn't reccommend this game for smaller children because of the language in it though but is great for older children.. With the rumbler packs and a large screen tv this game provides everything you would want out of it and holds its name true.

Come on, it's a '90s arcade classic on the Dreamcast for Gods sake. A perfect translation of the Arcade great with some extras thrown in for good measure. A must have for your classic Sega gamming rig.

Fun Game, But What About the Music?
Review created: 12/22/07

This game was a great way to express road rage through a controller. Wow. It had amazing graphics and a huge map. But the Music SUCKED!!!!!! I do not want the hear the Offspring over and over again. If you think it is a cool collectable, buy it, because it is, but when you play it, I recommend going to the options menu and turn the music that I have heard so much off.

crazy taxi-a classic never get boring driving game
Review created: 12/04/07

I decided to buy crazy taxi when i figured i wanted to buy a dreamcast all over again. it was actually the 1st game i re-bought when i won my dreamcast off of ebay.buying crazy taxi again brought back memories of when i was in junioer high and dreamcast ruled the video game scene until sony sony bought out sega.i used to play crazy taxi for hours at a time with my brothers competing to see who can get the most money in a 10 minute session.nowadays im 19 and i can still play it for a long period of time and it won't get boring to me.ilove everything about this game.i loved the anything goes drivig, the authenticism of the places you were taking customers, the customers in the backseat telling u suck and that you're a bad driver whenever you hit something, and overall gameplay.nobody what age u r, i believe anyone will have fun playing this game.so excuse me, you're interrupting my game!lol

 Why Craxy Taxi?
Review created: 03/02/07
by:

About 2 weeks ago I bought this old but still great game craxy taxi. Boy did I get a kick out of this game. While it is a bit blast from the past the game has great graphics, and characters that make you wonder if they are sane to drive, but on the downside the game can only be played in few game modes. Such as play by arcade, 3, 5, 10 minutes or the crazy pyramid. In a sense it doesnt have a point of adventure in my particular case. But for those who love arcade style games in which you love playing the same thing over and over well then I highly recommend it.

 Crazy Taxi (Sega Dreamcast) Review

This game is really fun, even though it seems simple at first. It has tons of hidden strategies that the average player wouldn't figure out, plus there are lots of combos you can do with your cab, like the Crazy Dash or the Crazy Drift. There are 5 drivers, and each one's cab controls differently. Also, you can unlock a rickshaw that they can drive. The graphics were great for when it came out. The only downside to this game is that it gets old fast. There is no story mode, there is just an "Arcade" mode and an "Original" mode, both the exact same game, just different maps. To try to help the problem, Crazy Taxi has something called Crazy Box, where you do themed objectives one by one and when you complete a set you recieve an unlockable. This game is an absolute must for anyone with a Dreamcast, but also consider getting Crazy Taxi 2.

Crazy Taxi - Drive Like A Jerk And Get Away With It
Review created: 02/11/01
by: awoolcott -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Excellent graphics, control, fun factor, huge areas

Cons:
Terrible sound, not a lot of depth to be had

Innovation has never been a problem for Sega. While it's current hardware is unfortunately on the outs, the software department of the company has never been as innovative and as entertaining as it is in the current era. Crazy Taxi is a shining example of that - taking a common Arcade racing theme of racing around until you run out of time, combined with a adrenaline-filled rush of gameplay that will keep you entertained for quite a while - in spurts, that is. This isn't a game you can play for hours on end, but it's great for a quick fix of gaming for your Dreamcast. And that's a good thing..

Crazy Taxi: This Game Fares OK
Review created: 11/01/05
by: kjell1979-- a member of Epinions and Lead in Games

Pros:
basic premise, good arcade theme

Cons:
car handling, kind of short, lack of some good gameplay dynamics, repetitive, glitchy, cursing?

I just missed the Crazy Taxi hoopla. After being mostly a PC gamer throughout the late 90's and early part of this decade, I broke in by purchasing a new-style PSOne, then upgrading to a PS2 around the time that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released. It was then that I was hooked on console gaming and it a way it sealed Crazy Taxi's fate because of the taxi mini-game in Grand Theft Auto. Fast forward to 2005 where the Dreamcast is long gone and the major game resellers are beginning to clear their shelves of their old Dreamcast GDROMs. I found Crazy Taxi at EB Games for less than $2. Why...

Pros:
Great fun,dirt cheap

Cons:
Not exactly long lifed, Sequel available

I remember when the Dreamcast first launched seeing a kid in a Game store playing the game on a DC pod, the thing catching my attention was the fact that the music was clearly the Offspring (who had just made it big at the time). I actually forgot about even seeing the game until months after actually buying the DC, when a friend told me "you have to get the Taxi game". After responding with my usual "nah, I don't like car games", he just told me it didn't matter, the game had to be got. Knowing that he was hardly a racing junkie, I took his advice upon seeing it for quite cheap (granted what.

 "Hit her Dad, hit her!"
Review created: 10/27/01
by: clubber63366 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Realistic city setting, large area, FUN

Cons:
Pedestrians are too quick, get out of the way

I don't promote or condone violence at home, yet night after night my kids egg me on with their chants. "Hit her Dad. Hit her Dad." Don't they know I'm trying. "I would if I could, kids, she's just too quick!" They keep encouraging me, I keep trying. After all she insulted me- told me I "suck." Seems to me she deserves to be run over. And though that isn't exactly the point of Crazy Taxi, I get distracted easily. This game for Sega Dreamcast creates enough fun diversions from when you pick up your passengers until you have to drop them off to quickly get you off task. Start off by choosing to.

We don't need no Stinkin' Brakes!
Review created: 03/27/02

Pros:
Level of insanity rivaled only by Jet Grind Radio

Cons:
A bit lacking in variety, no steering wheel

As everyone knows, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Well, those ever-creative geniuses at Sega have taken this concept and turned it into a fun little arcade game. Since the unusual concept struck a chord with gamers, said game was a huge hit in the arcades. So the boys at Sega took said game and and made it into a flawless port for the Dreamcast. It was a big hit there, too, and it helped the Dreamcast survive for a little while longer. Said game was a clever little driving game by the name of Crazy Taxi. The concept of the game was to pick up passengers in your...
