This game, at best, is a poor knock-off of the Mario Kart series that Nintendo has been so successful with. This game is nothing like your typical Mario Kart because not only do you have to win races, but you have to locate different items during the race. I found the game to be quite boring and after owning it for 2 days, have never played it since.
This is a game that my son has been wanting. I found it on e-bay and I knew the price had to be wrong. To my suprise, it was not. I saved about $30.00 over the local game stores. It looks like this year is going to be an e-bay Christmas.

Pros: Good graphics; you can drive upside down; easy to control karts
Cons: Too slow; plays like an update to Crash Team Racing
When Crash Team Racing was released for the Sony Playstation 1, it made quite a splash. Finally, PS1 owners had something which was good enough to rival excellent kart racers on the Nintendo 64 such as Diddy Kong Racing. The game was fast, addictive and screamed quality throughout. Sure, Naughty Dog borrowed (some might say they stole) a lot of elements from great N64 kart racers, but PS1 owners didn't seem to mind. Finally, there was a kart racer they could brag about and enjoy the heck out of, and that was good enough. For those not familiar, Crash was to Crash Team Racing what Mario was to.
