ok im 13 years old and i read this book i loved it. it teaches how your life goes down the tubes when u do drugs and drink alcohol. i am reading all of the books after it too nd i really like this book series it teaches alot of life lesons>
The book was in great condition, saved us a lot of money since my daughter is taking A/P courses and we had been buying full price books from barnes n' noble before........definetly going to continue with e-bay and half.com
This is one book I truly think everyone should read. It is amazing! Ellen Hopkins captures addiction and shows you exactly how it feels. It's one of those books you can't put down until it's finished. I think it will become one of the great books of this century. All of her books are amazing but Crank is the one that really got me hooked on her writing.
This story grabbed me and would not let go until I finished it. Then I found myself thinking about it for days. The unusual writing only added to me enjoyment. My little brother the high school english teacher told me about Crank.
I absolutely admire this book... i found myself going back and re-reading every little detail because it has so much depth... i would recommend it to everyone!!!Ellen Hopkins does an amazing job of telling how crank does damage to you mentally and physically and why todays society should pay more attention and stop the drug habits of teens.
It is a very good book. I highly recommend it. It tells a very satisfying story and goes in to explicit details about the dangers of drugs. I also recommend Smack by Melvin Burgess.
The book "Crank" was awesome!!!! Many of the residents that I work with have read the book. One of them asked me to read it and make a comment about it. Once I picked it up I could not put it down. I completed reading it in 4 1/2 hours. I have never finished a book of 500+ pages in that amount of time. The writting caused me to put myself into the situation. I had to turn the pages to see what was next. I highly recommend this book to all those who work with those of addition. It is an eye opener. I find it very suprising that we as a pepole/nation don't do more to stop the downward spirial of moral decay that this and other drugs cause the family and community. GREAT JOB Ellen Hopkins for sharing with us your story.
This mother did an excellant job of telling a story of what crank does to you, your body and the family. Fom this personal account we can see why this drug is killing america.
One of my 8th grade students read this book and told me about it. Because I am interested in what my students read I also read the book. It was a very insightful novel and I enjoyed the way it was written.
i love this book because its written in a different way and it kept me into it. every single second that i had extra i would read this book. Yes it is 500 and so on pages but i read it in two days beacause of the pages. It kept me wanting to know what else was gonna happen. It took so many turns but it doesnt leave you clueless. i kept everyone around me updated on it. it made them want to read it also. Ellen hopkins portrayed crank very well. She would use big and very meaningful words to portray what it makes you feel do and say. Its like your right there beside her when its all happening. I just got finished with the book 'Smack' written by Melvin Burgess. It was about the drug herion. It was set in the UK. It was a very geat book but Crank i think is way better. I think mainly because its about the same girl but she is two people. Bree and Kristina. I loved the book and maybe you will too. I was hooked in the bookstore.
