I bought this seat as my daughter who is four now has outgrown her car seat. I needed something that was portable in case we needed to allow someone else transporting her in their car to do safely. This booster seat is lightweight but also fits well in the middle of the back seat of most cars, vans & SUV type vehicles. A shoulder strap stretched across your child and placed under the "armrests" and then buckled works well. Just take your time to adjust the belt by pulling it from its loosest part ( where it comes out of the seat) until it is tight. Then adjust any bending or twisting to make your child comfortable and again pull the shoulder strap taut. Please make sure your child keeps the shoulder strap up on his/her shoulder because if it is not in this position, safety is minimized significantly. In the event of a sudden stop your child will become a projectile as though they were not restrained at all. It may be a hassle to make your child keep it with the shoulder strap where it belongs but the life you may save in an instant may be your child's. Accidents occur quickly and a child's life is a precious thing as is any person's riding in your vehicle. The vehicle can be replaced, your child's life or health is not. I like this seat and plan on using it until my daughter no longer fits it. With her size it will be a few years until that happens. I love our Cosco Ambassador Belt Positioning (Apollo) Booster Car Seat and so does my 4 year old daughter. She couldn't wait until it came so she could use it rather than her car seat which was getting to be a tight squeeze.
We bought this to use when we have our grandchildren. Our oldest granddaughter uses it & it works perfect for our needs. For children who are ready to graduate to a "big kids" carseat, this is a good one with an even better price. The flip down cup holder is nice and so are the padded arm rests. Material is very easy to clean so no worry about messes! Thanks for stopping by! If you feel this was helpful, please vote below.
