I bought this movie because I saw it on t.v one day and couldn't get enough of it. I looked everywhere for this film and nobody had it so i decided to see if ebay had it and they did so I got it.

I got the movie on DVD, the director's cut version. Great stars, excellent acting and a very cool story about a huge portion of the NYPD Cops living in a little town in New Jersey where virtually everyone is a cop. Sylvester Stallone plays a wonderful role as Cop Land's Sheriff. He's under their control for the most part until the I.A. comes to peek in on Cop Land. Sylvester Stallone's character is a person of character and he brings it all together in the end in a great way. A very different role for Stallone, but probably my favorite. The other great actors play what they always play and did it in a very believable way. Great Movie.

Let's face it. Copland is a movie that has one hell of a great cast: Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta, and Robert DeNiro. It's not something you see every day. Unfortunately, the movie was largely ignored at the box office and by the audiences which is strange given the talent involved. But it perhaps provided a little more strength in Sly Stallone's fading career and proved that he's still an actor before an action star. It s appropriate to begin with a confession. After all, there s a major shortage of honesty among the characters in Cop Land, so someone s got to take the lead. This is the kind of film that just blows my mind, but not in a good way. You've got the legends of the crime film, Robert DeNiro, Harvey Keitel, and Ray Liotta.
