My husband and I both love seafood and he loves to cook. We don't have any seafood recipes, so it looked like something new and interesting to try out. It is also about the Chesapeake Bay near where we live! It has a lot of interesting recipes which look scrumptious. Haven't had time to try them out yet but I'm sure they are delicious!
Living on an Island in the MIDDLE of the Chesapeake- Smith Island, which we consider to be "the Crab Capital", I am always looking for new and exciting recipes for ways to serve the precious crab to friends and family. The delightful aspect of this wonderful cook book, is that it not only provides MANY delicious looking recipes ( I haven't had time to try them all !), but the author suggests a menu to accompany each recipe, and how to prepare the side dish(s) as well. The delightful pictures throughout the book, allow one to quickly determine which recipe is desired at a given time, without having to read through the entire recipe to see if it is cream based, tomato based, fried, baked, etc.
The author obviously has the background, and the experience to write such a marvelous book.
If you enjoy crab as much as I do, this is an outstanding book to add to your kitchen !
