Gives an irrationally high number of pages over to American watches (and, strangely, different types of escapements) but still probably the best of its kind available. Adverts smack of rag-and-bone men/dodgy used car dealers and seem very out of place.
Very informative, especially American clocks/watches. I've had several issues of this book through the years, 2006 is the best yet, just keeps improving.
I love the pricing guide but it lacks much in visual discription. It seems to move all over the place and doesnt give as much information on Swiss and English watches as I had hoped. I have spent many hours studying this book and its content and have found it to be good at giving a guide to pricing but had poor visuals of movements. it seems a book written for each type of watch would be more informative and not try to cram everything under the sun in one book. When bidding in auctions i like to have quick decisive information about what I am spending thousands on than have to dig and dig to figure out a real value on what Im watching.
