Ha sido todo perfecto, ha sido una gran alegría encontrar el disco de Shania Twain que es encantadora y una gran cantante, lástima que no la descubriera muchos años antes.

I bought the CD as an extra because the price was right and the seller combined shipping. I burnt the songs to my computer and gave the CD to my daughter, she loves it.

This Chick Is Not Only A Rock, She's A Boulder: CRWO
Review created: 12/17/01

Pros:
Some great make over sounds

Cons:
Some not so great make over sounds

The purpose of this write/off was to write about a female recording artist, a band, or group, that ROCKS!!!!!! Basically the only condition set was the music had to be done by a chick. My choice was based on many factors, which I'll attempt to explain. I felt I must go deeper than just the music presented, for me to pick the female artist to qualify as my favorite Rocker. They must have more than a great voice (she qualifies here) physical appearance does not even enter into my vote, it just so happens she is drop dead gorgeous. They must have at least a pleasant public personality, show...

What Happens When Country-Pop Goes International Pop
Review created: 07/13/01
by: kuuleimomi -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Nice change in some songs

Cons:
Pop arrangements destroyed any attempt to produce decent country sound

For over four years Shania Twain is not a country singer, still she s listed in the country category, hmm I understand traditions and all but being so conservative? Anyway, I suggest calling it country-pop and acknowledge that is not country. So what? I like country-pop, I like Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill and Dixie Chicks. In the very beginning of 1999, right before the Grammy I became a happy owner of Come On Over CD. You think I liked it? Ha, I loved it, I adored it. I was singing the tunes to myself all days long, they really grew on me, both the hit ones and those I had...

  Shania Goes International?
Review created: 03/20/00
by: wannabe_writer -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
huge improvement to "From This Moment On"

Cons:
loss of key elements to formerly great songs

Shania goes international? Not bloody likely. Shania Twain has revamped her latest album, Come On Over and created an International Version. In an effort to reach countries that aren t so keen on the steel guitar, Shania has tweaked some of the album s tracks ever so slightly so that they will pass for pop music. Unfortunately, the old adage if it ain t broke, don t fix it seems to apply in this case. In modifying some of the more popular numbers, Shania robbed them of their best qualities. The distinctive fiddle part in Love Gets Me Every Time has been replaced by electric guitar and the...

Shania Comes on Over to the rest of the world
Review created: 03/29/00
by: crains -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Shania's beautiful voice and superb songwriting is unaffected by the remixes

Cons:
not all re-mixes are improvements on the original

The International version of Shania's widely successful Come On Over album was released in the US during November of '99. Fifteen of the sixteen tracks are re-mixes and are more pop friendly. Some songs are improved by the re-mixes while others don't quite live up to their counterparts on the Original Come On Over CD. I enjoyed the remix of Love Gets Me Every Time, From This Moment On (solo version), Black Eyes, Blue Tears and That Don't Impress Me Much were among my favorites which lived up to and exceeded their counterparts on the original CD. The Nothing Hill remix of You've Got a Way is...
