I had to get the original Combat for the Atari 2600. It was the first game that came with the console off the shelf. I also found the console on ebay at a reasonable price. I had to have both of these for my "collection".
I can remember in my not so distant younger years trying to top the high score on a Friday night until it was around midnight and we (family) would nod off. Not like the games constructed today. Games then were soo much more simpler. My 8 year old son gets a kick out of playing the old games, and now I have something to pass on to him.
Truly a classic "vintage" game console at a great price. I've looked around and ebay has so many things that can't be found anywhere else.

MemoriesGreat to have, brings back memories. Even though graphics were basic, it's the memories. I deside to buy the item is that I used to have it when I was a kid. I missed it so much.

Fun two player gameThe game that was the game that came with many peoples Atari 2600.
Sure the graphics are all just blocks/squares, but when the game came out it was great compared to the Pong games out then.
So what makes this game fun is the two player action, you can play Tanks or planes. Blowing up you brothers and sisters could've been more fun..
As for the sound, extremely basic.

My, my, my! I must have died and gone to heaven. I sure as heck haven't seen vintage Atari games up for review on Epinions, and I'm sure as heck glad there are some here. The Atari 2600, after all, will always hold a special place in my heart. That's another story entirely, however. Right now, I figure on taking a look at Combat, the "pack-in" game that came with Atari for years and one that many fans of "classic" or "vintage" gaming remember fondly. For a great many of us, Combat was the first video game we ever played at home on our beloved Atari 2600 s. Since it came packaged with the Atari console (In all her faux wood grain glory), it was often treated like the red headed stepchild of your cartridge collection.
