Great for learning and researching about "American Dinnerware". A person cannot simply purchase one book on a subject and expect to be completely informed. There are hundreds upon hundreds of styles of American Dinnerware. If not thousands???? This is a good book to add to your dinnerware identification resource collection.
I bought this book because I like to have pictures of collectibles on hand to view. You never know if you'll run across some of the patterns on one of your forays to a flea market..or garage sale.
It offers several patterns from older American Companys that are not often seen today....but would help one make identification if found--or already in your collection.
Though this author is rather well known and has several books on the market--I personally do not view her books as the last word or top writer in the field---but for basic information and photos--her books are great.
This book is to me --- is a oldie--having been published over 20 years ago.
Again--not for the last word --but a handy reference to have on hand..at a very good price...to help identify older and several rare patterns in dinnerware.
