i like most of the song from this CD..It is a great soundtrack...I decided to buy it because of one song only but i end up like it the whole CD....It is a great original soundtrack...I recommend it!
The instrumentals are lovely, and the music by guest artists are on the whole very good. I especially liked the Peter Gabriel song "I Grieve". I've actually never even seen the movie, but I still really like this CD.
I love the movie and wanted the soundtrack. I love the song by Sarah Mclachlan *Angle*.. I also love the Blues songs, witch it has several. Its an all around good CD. Thanks
A friend of mine really liked the movie so I got it for her.She really liked the song "In The Arms Of An Angel" by Sarah McLaughlin,so now I bought her the soundtrack.
My favorite songs from the movie are not on here. I also noticed differences in the songs on the CD from those in the movie. Really shouldn't call this one a soundtrack from the movie.
I can only give a very poor review, because even though I paid for this purchase through paypal, I never have received it from the seller. I have contacted them by email more than once with no return response.
A below average movie but while watching it on HBO I couldn't help be moved by the beautiful underlining theme soundtrack throughout. That's why I bought the soundtrack CD. Too bad the theme songs are only a couple of minutes at the end of the CD...and most of the tracks are just lame pop tunes that I have heard on the radio a zillion times. Only paid about $5 on ebay including shipping. I spent more for my hamburger and coke at lunch today, so no great loss.

This has to be one of the best rock soundtracks of the 90’s. I listen to this cd at least once a month and never tire of it. U2 contributed an exclusive track: “If God Will Send His Angels” that is exquisite. I’m not a big Paula Cole fan, but her track: Feelin’ Love will grow on you quickly. Peter Gabriel (formely of Genesis) also kicks in a killer track, as so Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. The Goo Goo Dolls had a hit with “Iris” on this soundtrack as well.
Caveat: there is an ‘R’ rated moment in one of the songs, so be careful who you play it around. Overall, the music flows seamlessly from one great track into another making the listener really feel the mood the movie presented: that is the ultimate goal of EVERY soundtrack, and City of Angels succeeds mightily at it.
This CD has a great mix of music on it. I hate buying one-artist CD's because the songs start to song a like. My two favorite songs on this CD are Sarah Mclachlan - Angel and Goo Goo Dolls - Iris.
Everytime I watch the movie City of Angeles, while listening to the main theme song it would move me and make me feel an aray of emotions. I loved this song so much I wanted to be able to hear it while I was on the road as I am an outside sales rep. that travels a lot.
One great reason to buy a soundtrack...Where else do you get a terrific combination of musical talent like U2, Sarah McLachlan, Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Goo Goo Dolls? My favorite song is "Uninvited" by Alanis Morissette. The whole track has the flavor of feeling unreachable in the depths of your soul, yet there is also a sense of hope and peace too.
