great dvd, beautiful color and animation. Beginning fades into the full color so don't be discouraged by the first three minutes of the dvd.

I wanted to buy all the Disney classics I gre up on. I love the good values it teaches...how to be yourself, be humble, work hard, and how to be a good person. It teaches my girls how to be sensitive. The quality is also great. There is nothing to dislike about this classic tale.

Cinderella: Gives False Impressions About Relationships Between Men And Women
Review created: 03/21/01

Pros:
Beautiful Love Story That Encourages Children To Dream

Cons:
Develops False Conceptions of Prince Charming and Love In General

When I was a little girl, I was in love with the Disney s Classic feature, Cinderella. I could have gone to the movies for hours upon end and watch the feature over and over again. During that time as well I had a board game of Cinderella and I would sit and play it for hours by myself because my little brothers thought it was too sissy to play with a girl s toy! I didn t care though. I had a dream in my heart and like the song said, No how matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true. But is it right to have little girls dream like this.

Pros:
A classic story with a happy ending, no violent scenes

Cons:
None for us

Even though we already own Cinderella on DVD, I couldn t resist adding the Cinderella Special Addition DVD to our collection, since it is a favorite in this house. The Plot In this animated Disney version of the classic fairy tale, Cinderella is orphaned after the death of her father. Her stepmother forces her to work as a servant in her own home. With the help of some animal friends and her fairy godmother Cinderella manages to attend a ball, meet her prince charming and live happily ever after. The Look and Feel For its release to DVD, Cinderella has been remastered and the results are...

Pros:
The animals make a fun addition to the familiar tale.

Cons:
The DVD seems geared more to kids then adults.

In an effort to revive his sagging animation department, Walt Disney turned once again to a fairy tale. This time around, he chose one of the best known and oldest of them all, Cinderella. The tale is familiar. A beautiful girl is abused by her stepmother and stepsisters and forced to work as their slave. When a ball is given for all the eligible maidens in the kingdom, Cinderella dreams of going too, only to have her hopes dashed at the last minute. With a gift of magic, she is able to go, but only until the stroke of midnight. The story is so well known, if fact, that any story about an...

"A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes"
Review created: 06/05/00

Pros:
adorable, hilarious mice

Cons:
the prince is pretty two-dimensional

This rags to riches tale has been told in its own way in practically every country around the world. It has been made into many movies as well, and while my favorite will always be the Rodgers and Hammerstein version, Disney s Cinderella is certainly a delight. Cinderella is a sweet teenager who lives with her unfeeling stepmother and two nasty stepsisters. She uncomplainingly does all of their dirty work, finding reprieve as she sings to her friends, the animals. All the farm animals adore her, and the house mice provide comfort and amusement in her darkest hours. Only Lucifer, her...

Pros:
Cute, more colorful now. Great movie over all.

Cons:
None

My daughter received the Disney Cinderella movie for her birthday last year from her god father and his girl friend. They adore my daughter and know that she is a huge fan of Cinderella. Anyhow the week before my daughter's birthday I happened to mention that my daughter was very upset that her vcr broke and ate her Cinderella tape. They knew that we have a dvd player so they bought her the dvd version. The DVD version of Cinderella is so much more colorful, vibrant and entertaining than it was on the Vhs tape. The tape was the same exact tape I used to watch as a kid, and really was not too..
