I bought this for my grandson, who loves animals and has a menagerie of them. I did not read this one, but love the other Chicken Soup books I have read; very inspirational.

A great fast read for real pet lovers. A must!There is very little to dislike about this book. The stories are brief, they can make you laugh, they can make you cry. As a pet owner/lover you can definitely relate.

great book for the bluesI liked the book as it helps with everyday issues. I have bought almost all the books in the series. My wife loves them and has been known to trade them to others who do not have any of the titles.

Excellent book. I have many pets and enoy reading humorous and touching stories about pets. I teach a senior adult class every Thursday morning at the hospital where I work and use humorous stories before or after the
presentations. Chicken soup books are very appropriate for this material.

I never read a Chicken Soup book before, but I love animals so I thought that I would give it a try. Some of the stories make me laugh and yes some of them make me cry. The short stories are great, as a single mother of 3, sometimes you only have time for a few pages at a time. This book was an excellent choice for me.

I happen to love animals so I found the book uplifting and moving. Animals live in the moment and touch so many human lives in a positive way. This book demonstrates the positive affect animals have on human lives.
The book makes you laugh, cry and fill with love.

The Chicken Soup... books are an amazing publishing phenomenon. Apparently, millions of people will buy a book so long as it says 'Chicken Soup' on the cover. After one experience with a Chicken Soup book, I can unequivocally declare that I am not one of them. For those who have been living in a box (or who have been better able than I to resist these maudlin, depressing books), the Chicken Soup books are collections of thematic stories, supposedly uplifting and heartwarming. One book will be for teenagers, one for singles, another for the elderly, and this one is aimed at... PET LOVERS I...

This compilation of heart warming stories from the Chicken Soup Collection deals with the ways our pets inspire, help, and most of all love us. It the typical Chicken Soup fashion, it endeavors to inspire us, make us cry, make us laugh, and encourage us to find ourselves. More than one story reduced me to tears - and believe me, I don't cry easily! However, there is a noticeable abundance - and in my opinion, an excess - of stories dealing with death, cancer, AIDS, and the like. Though sweet, these stories are sometimes a little unbelievable. There are also some cute tales to bring a smile to.

Any pet lover would love this book. There are so many heart-warming stories, one after the other. Some will make you laugh; others will break your heart. Reading one or two of these stories is a great way to start your day. My daughter bought me the calendar version of this book, which I took to work with me. I had to bring it home because each story brought tears to my eyes, either from sorrow or joy, and I couldn't sit at my desk crying each day. My daughter gave me the book, Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul for my birthday last year and it has been one book I have read over, and over again. ;-) The stories are about pets as teachers, healers, heros, and friends. There are heartwarming stories that lift my heart and stories that make me smile. There are sad stories that deal with bravery in the face of adversity, and some of the stories bring a tear to my eyes. All of the stories are about interaction between animals and people. Well where to start. I liked the book, and it has some really touching stories, but for the most part they were sad! I titled my review Tears and Tissues because that's mostly what this book brought me! As a very big pet lover I thought that I would enjoy reading stories other people shared about their pets. If they wanted to improve this book I would say that they should add in more upbeat stories, instead of so many down and depressing stories.
