Celtic Woman - A New Journey, Live at Slane Castle (2007, DVD)

If you love Celtic music and culture then this is a great DVD to own. The performance and talent of these young women are profound. If one word could describe this show it would be "Enchanting."

My whole family is pretty enchanted with this one. These girls can sing together or solo. The fiddle player is a show on her own. She dances and jumps all over while playing. Definitely not your typical musical production. If you like pretty girls with great voices...you'll like this. If you're sick of the standard "girl group" making noise and ripping off their clothes, this is a good pick.

Never in my life have I been moved by a musical group such as Celtic Woman. In fact, I pity anyone who has not had the chance to experience the beauty and talent that is displayed in this DVD. The clarity in their voices, the beauty in their expressions-is unmatched in my opinion. Each member of the group is a standout in their own right. This production is truly a gift to anyone who would call themselves a music lover!

After viewing the second Celtic Woman it reminded me of how great the first production was. After getting the first version it didn't disappoint.

I saw "Celtic Woman - A New Journey" on PBS and knew I wanted the DVD.
The songs are a blend of all things beautiful, the performances flawless, the choreography fresh, and the Celtic ladies themselves are at their very best. Newcomer Haley's rendition of "Scarborough Fair" is not be missed: her crystal clear voice is amazing.
I highly recommend this new journey. You won't be disappointed.

Loved the PBS special--fell in LOVE with these women!! This is the 2nd time I've owned this DVD. First one was stolen from my residence--wasted NO TIME tracking anothe copy down on EBAY!! The castle setting and superb orchestrations make this a MUST HAVE!! I attended a concert of Celtic Woman in Greensboro, NC and the absence of Hayley Westerna--as she is included in this DVD--was noticeable!! Hope she reunites with the group for further PBS specials!! Urge anyone who hasn't experienced this group and has an interest in New Age music--purchase this DVD and SEE FOR THEMSELVES!!

I decided to buy the DVD because a friend first loaned me a copy. The setting, the sets, vocalists, and musicians give a wonderful performance. The technical parts of the production are excellent, and the music is uplifting. We have since purchased another copy to be given as a gift.

I HAD WATCHED THEM MANY TIMES ON PUBLIC TV AND WANTED ONE FOR MY CILLECTION. IT CAME AS ADVERTISED AND IT'S IN NEW CONDITION.

Watched the Celtic Woman on PBS and basically fell in love with them. They are a young group that sings music tha I love to listen to and watch. That is why I purchased the DVD and not the CD

got to finally see these great ladies in concert in february 2008... and immediately came home and ordered this dvd. i can only repeat what all others say - WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, SPECIAL, VOICES ARE LIKE SONGBIRDS, NOT-TO-MISSED IF YOU LOVE THE CELTIC WOMEN..... i don't have enough words to describe these talented women - except i will see them again as soon as i can !

Celtic Woman - A New Journey is lovely. It is not especially innovative (however, it is filmed in front of a historic Irish castle) and it is not brilliant. But it has a refreshingly clean sound and... it's pretty. And sometimes this is good. It has a nice concert feel to it. Visual treats, too. Beautiful women in beautiful costumes. Set is an expressive part of the whiole event. Well-filmed; you might feel a cool Irish evening breeze! Great to play when company arrives - especially if they're stressed. Lots to listen to and see, but not so brilliant it will intrude into your conversations. Has a place in my home! Also: check out their version of "Orinoco Flow" - great orchestra, band and chorus work here. Cool drums.

This DVD is great. I absolutely love this group of women singers--voices are beautiful.Castle background was just perfect for this music. All the musicians just suited these singers.

I bought this DVD for my mother. She loves it. The setting is stuning and the music is wonderful. This DVD is a real treat for Harmony lovers.

the transaction thru ebay was easy and the item is great. i was able to shop at home instead of going out into a busy shopping center and not being able to find the item i was looking for. some of the shipping on items can get exspensive - but then again so is gas these days. thanks for home shopping

This is one of the best examples of modern, mixed Irish music I have ever seen. The ladies voices, both in solo and mixes are amazing! The production is excellent and sound mix is great, especially considering the lack of accoustics outside a castle!
The instruments used, both modern and traditional, harmonize well and add an interesting sound to the music. The 'Sprite" of a violist is truly great.
A truly enjoyable DVD.

These women have the voices of angels! Ethereal! Beautiful! The songs are also family friendly which is hard to come by these days with all the crap flying around on the airwaves!! My daughters are ten and six and we have so much fun singing along! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Run, don't walk to purchase this dvd. You will never regret it. I purchase extra copies of all the Celtic Woman dvd's and pass them out to those who are interested.

This one's a keeper, and belongs in eveyone's DVD library. Almost like being there.

After seeing the concert LIVE in Seattle I wanted a front row seat and got it with the DVD. From start to finish and through all of the special features I was completely mesmerized. It was fascinating to watch the construction of the stage and seating area at the Slane Castle in Ireland. This would be a FANTASTIC gift for any music lover.

This is a show not to miss, and watch over and over! I love it and so do all my sisters! It is not quite as mystical and heavenly as the original Celtic Woman show. But the more upbeat numbers make up for it.

I bought this as a Christmas present for a friend of more than 40 years who lives in Brazil. I had first seen it on PBS and was in awe of their grace, poise and sweet, angelic voices. The visuals of torches and the castle itself added to the effect. The selections vary from quiet and poigniant to lively, especially the fiddle solos. The only thing that seemed out of place was the one drum solo. I could watch and listen to this performance over and over.

Wonderful talent and very enjoyable to watch. My husband is Irish heradity and loved the music. Wanted him to have it always.

Saw them for the 1st time on PBS...I thought there voices where enchanting. I had to have it for my collection. I also got CD for my vehicle.

The music is a most refreshing sound from the current "noise" on US stations.
The beautiful and talented ladies are all exceptional, and the choreography is
absolutely wonderful. I also have the CD, and play it very often, and enjoy it
every time it plays, because it is timeless.
