OH MY, I HAVE BEEN CAMPING AND COOKING WITH CAST IRON FOR YEARS... FRIENDS PURCHASED THIS BOOK AND THEY WERE TURNING OUT GREAT MEALS THE VERY FIRST TIME.... NO BURNING OR MISTAKES. THEY "ALLOWED" ME TO LOOK AT THEIR COPY AND I IMMEDIATELY SAW WHY THEY WERE TURNING OUT THE MEALS THEY WERE. THIS IS A MUST FOR ANYONE CAMPING AND COOKING ON THE FIRE WITH CAST IRON. BREAKS IT DOWN AND MAKES IT SOOOOOOOO EASY THAT EVEN A FIRST TIMER DOES NOT MAKE A MISTAKE. AND THE EXPERIENCED CAMPER CAN MOVE ON TO OTHER RECIPES WITHOUT "BURNING THE FOOD". I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! WISH I HAD KNOW ABOUT IT FIRST!

i saw this book marked for a much higher price by original distributor and figued i could get it cheaper on ebay which i did....i like camping and cast iron is the only way to go

This book is a quick reference guide to answers you are in need of quickly without having to read a 500 page book. The topics are easy to find and it is written condensed to get to the point I have other "Dummies" books and they are great.

A Smart Choice: I found Cast-Iron Cooking for Dummies while picking up some other cast-iron items at our local kitchen store. The book was marked down from its original price of $19.95 to $5. Since my hubby and I love cast-iron cooking, purchasing this book was a no brainer. Unfortunately, cast-iron cooking is not a popular tradition, and most can find this book at half its original price. This book can also be purchased in a set that includes the book and cast-iron cookware including a 5qt Dutch oven, 10 1/4 inch skillet, interchangeable cover, and handle mitt.
