Casio EXILIM CARD EX-S770 7.2 Megapixel

Many people have been waiting for Casio S770 to come out for a few reasons. Its the first redesign of the "s" series in two years. Now even slimmer with a 2.8 wide screen. This is one of the first cameras to have the 16:9 aspect ratio screen. By this time next year expect many others to follow. The 7.2 MP Casio S770 lets you shoot in 4:3 3:2 or 16:9 format. The wide screen comes in great for shooting video. The S770 shoots at 30fps and MPEG 4 quality give you the highest quality video you can shoot with a small point and shoot camera. This camera comes with the gotta have anti-shake technology. The battery life is decent at around 300 pictures per charge. People who buy this camera will buy it for its video quality and high res pictures. If you don't care so much about video then you might want to purchase the less expensive "z" series cameras that have all the same features but their video is not mpeg4 and is only 15fps. However the "z" series does have a longer battery life. The ULTRA SLIM Casio S770 is the camera to buy for high quality video and pictures at a great price.

I love the camera except for the fact that it came cracked on the corner and scratched lense! That i did not like.

PROS: This camera has exceeded my expectations in most every way! Its very slim and lightweight yet has a feel of quality when you operate it. The case and buttons are metal, not cheap plastic. The large vibrint display is crisp and clear even in direct sunlight. The movie feature records cam-corder quality videos with crisp sound. The battery life is exceptional and the Best Shot feature is very handy for one-step setup of specific shot styles like Sports or Night Scene and there is even one for taking ebay pictures at the right resolution and size! How cool is that??! The picture quality at full resolution is outstanding and the color and white balance is perfect. Putting the cradle in the dock to transfer photos or watch videos on a large flat screen TV is a snap. It even has a feature that lets the camera act as an electronic picture frame while in the docking station.

CONS: The camera is almost too thin and can sometimes be difficult to take a picture without pressing some of the other buttons by mistake. When doing close ups, its difficult to push the shutter button without moving the camera downward, making for a blurred shot. The camera does not charge via USB which would be handy while using it away from home at work or another home without having to lug the AC charger along too.

SUMMARY: For the money, you wont find a more feature rich camera that takes excellent photos and video, even for the novice user. I am very pleased with this camera and plan to use it for quite some time.

I bought the Casio S770 because of it's compact size. Easy to carry anywhere and takes great pictures. The built-in features give lots of flexibility to the average camera user. I am an older person so the anti-shake/vibration features helps a lot. Have taken a couple videos with it and they too are quite nice. The available light has a lot of effect on the video result but the camera is able to take nice videos under normal to lower light indoor shooting. I highly recommend this camera, in fact I bought a second one for another family member. As always be careful choosing a seller. One of my cameras was advertised as good quality and complete accessories. Got the camera and found excessive dings and scratches all over the camera. Contacted the seller and was offered a replacement. The second camera was slightly better looking but still heavily used, yet it takes great pictures so I use it for work and don't need a fancy / pretty camera it's the results that count.

Terrific camera. It is very light, small and thin. It takes pictures quickly and holds several photos.

Well I haven't got to use it much, but I love the small footprint... very fast power up... very intuitive menu system, pictures that I have taken are excellent.. will be taking some videos tonight to see how that works. The card reader is very slick that came with this package... all in all it is a very nice camera. I plan on buying another here in the near future to give to a friend.

What I really like about it is the variety of modes on the camera. I use it mainly for EBAY pictures, in the EBAY mode, in which case, this camera really delivers sharp crisp detailed photo's of my items I put up for sale. No more blurry or out of focus photo's, which leads me to the anti-shake mode. My hands shake all the time and the last camera I had would show it on the results, but I can switch on the anti-shake mode on this camera and the phot's come out just like I used a tripod when I took the shot. I never thought I would want to switch from my 35mm slr camera, but this camera made a believer out of me. Recently, my wife used it and switched to the flower mode and what a great photo it took. I bought it because of these reasons and saw some of the modes and quality of the photo's that my Son's camera had, which was the s880 camera. If you are thinking about purchasing a camera that's small, gives great phot's and has a great price, don't hesitate about purchasing the EX-S770....You won't be sorry.....Dan....

I love this camera. It is easy to use and fits in your pocket. I do have cameras that take better pictures but I always use this one. The picture are good and it is SO convenient.

The camera was in good condition but took real crappy pictures. I don't know if it is because it is a refurbished camera or if it is just that brand of cameras. Unfortunately, I don't think I will ever buy a Casio camera again but it was a nice experience. The pictures were real fuzzy and the zoom was horrible. I could zoom in one time and the picture was already blurry. Not happy with the camera but I don't think it was the seller's fault...just a sh*tty camera.

Great camera, i bought it to replace my older exilim, this one is faster, slimmer and has a higher Mega pixel setting. I love it, i take it out with me and fits right in my pocket, great for parties.

great camera just a few annoyances, 1st small buttons and the second, you are not able to pause while taking a video, you have to stop and start a new one, Other wise clear crisp picture, fast operation and big screen.

I bought the Casio Exilim EX-S770 a week ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive camera. Casio Exilim is an excellent camera, very stylish and slim enough to carry it. Great pictures!

I did not know at the time of purchase that the camera was a reconditioned item. Item description was deceptively misleading.

The item did appear to be in like new condition and does function properly.

Overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

I ordered this camera for the package deal it had. Not only did the camera have so much to offer the bonus was great and the price better yet. Great little camera, slim and easy to carry. Docking station works well.
Takes good pictures and zoom feature is helpful.
Good screen size and the download features off the CD provided works first time without complications.

The only down side to this purchase was the basic reference book. Very little information provided in this book. You are really left to figure it out for yourself. If you are not good with tech stuff you might have to play with it on your own for a while to figure out all the features. Big improvement over clunky bricks of old.

I have not used the movie feature extensively but a test proved it did work. You could shoot basic short films pretty well, maybe catch a short clip of Dick Cheney getting an envelope under the table from Haliburton. (just kidding) Good camera worth the money.

Good price, solid little camera for everyday use. The unit I bought was reconditioned and I have had no problems so far. Hope this helps you make your choice. Mike

I like the weight of the phone, the look of phone and the best about this phone is the quality of the picture and video. The feature of the phone are also thing that make this Camara great, to me one of the best camara out.

I wanted a better camera at a good price and found it with the Casio EXILIM EX-S770. Want great pictures in any setting? Look no further.So many features and with a built in battery that lets you take pictures "all day" it is always ready when you want it. COmws with a 2 gig memory card too. Downside,everyone in the family wants one now! Hey, the price was right too. check it out for yourself..
