Casino Royale

I'm not massive James Bond fan, I've actually only seen part of the other Bond films, but this movie was amazing... and now I'm going to have to go and rent all of the other Bond films to see what I was missing.

Casino Royale is action packed, suspenseful, and full of beautiful ladies. This is a great action film that isn't too unrealistic.

Casino Royale is full of twists and turns, laughs, action, and excitement. It is one of the best action films I have seen in the last 5... maybe 10 years.

Final Verdict:

5/5

Worth buying?: I'm buying it and I'm not a James Bond fan... it's definitely worth buying

I bought it for my psp and am an avid James Bond fan. I also like its small size because it is compact and convenient.

 Best James Bonds film EVER
Review created: 01/22/08

When I first heard that Daniel Craig had been named the new James Bond, I was a bit shocked because Pierce Brosnan was doing a good job in my eyes but I was open. After I saw this movie, Daniel Craig had become THE BEST JAMES BOND EVER in my eyes. Over the past few years, the films had only been good for seeing what new hi tech toys they could come up with and nothing else. It was good to see how James Bond had gotten his 00 license and to his get into some knock down drag out fights that left him bloody and bruised. This movies can more than hold its own againist any the Jason Bourne movies.

Casino Royale --- Daniel Craig takes his turn as James Bond

Pros:
Craig very good as Bond, some really interesting action,

Cons:
too much card playing, ending needed work, was too long for a Bond film

Casino Royale is a remake of fashions, based on Ian Fleming's famous novel and black and white film of the same name. This time around British actor Daniel Craig is brought in to fill the large shoes of James Bond. Craig has been better known as a supporting character in films like Munich, Road to Perdition, and Lara Croft, but now takes on the biggest role of his career with the Bond Films. Dealing with the frivolities of deciding whether or not he can play the part, I have to say that Craig does stand up to the test. He is able to be suave at times, and still at other times be willing to go.

Daniel Craig Debuts as James Bond in Casino Royale

Pros:
Great renewal of the Bond franchise, with a great new Bond and great action.

Cons:
Eva Green doesn't have the sex appeal for a Bond girl.

James Bond is one of the true iconic figures in cinema. Sean Connery, the first actor to play Ian Fleming s British superspy, had a combination of good looks, style, refinement, audacity, and wry humor. Beginning with Dr. No in 1962, Connery portrayed James Bond through seven movies, with a bevy of beautiful women and an increasing number of gadgets to help him defeat a variety of exotic villains and henchmen. Connery retired from official Bond movies in 1971 after Diamonds Are Forever (his turn in 1983 s Never Say Never Again is often ignored as an official Bond film, even though it s one of.

 Casino Royale - Love Hurts

Pros:
action sequences, Daniel Craig as Bond, casting

Cons:
Eva Green as Vesper Lynd, romantic Bond doesn't work

With Daniel Craig as the new Bond, Casino Royale was almost a perfect relaunch of the Bond franchise that had started to fall out of favor over the years with Pierce Brosnan s Bond. The new James Bond has gone from his charming, gadget-centric ways, reinvented instead as a brutal master of improvisation less dependent on gear. Under the direction of Martin Campbell, best known for Goldeneye, Casino Royale surprisingly is an awesome telling of Ian Fleming s first novel. Casino Royale, like many of the re-launches of this decade, takes the story backwards to the days of a freshly minted 007...

Pros:
Craig is 007. Nice way to reboot the staid series

Cons:
A bit overlong

Over the years, my attitudes toward the venerable James Bond film series has veered wildly from wholehearted admiration to willful indifference, with mild spurts of renewed enthusiasm when a new actor is cast as Ian Fleming's womanizing, martini-sipping, hard-charging, fast-shooting, and supervillain-foiling Agent 007. Like most action-adventure movie fans, I've watched many of the 20 pre-Casino Royale Bond films; with the sole exception of the Pierce Brosnan quartet (Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, and Die Another Day), I've seen most of the post-The Spy Who Loved Me.

Scary mean, wicked hot, and he's just been licensed to kill...

Pros:
Daniel Craig; action scenes; Daniel Craig; exotic locales; oh, and did I mention Daniel Craig?

Cons:
over-long screen time; never-ending poker game; Le Chiffre's hairstyle; asthmatics tarred by villainous brush
The Decision In the spirit of complete disclosure, I must confess that I have never been a Bond fan. Of all the books my dad left lying around the house during my childhood, the Ian Fleming paperbacks were the only ones I left untouched. Over the years, I ve watched very few of the movies, usually at the behest of friends and, more recently, my 9-year-old nephew who has a thing for Halle Berry. However, Casino Royale came highly recommended by an acquaintance who claimed it s nothing like the usual formulaic Bond movies. It s different? Ergo, it must be good. And as for the new Bond, she had..
