One of my best forgotten albums come to life in CD form. Simply had to have it after seeing old videos of her and listening to real meaningful music. Instead of listening to the gender bashing, gang banging, drink and drug loving music frequently heard it's nice to relax to.
I bought the Minnie Riperton cd because I have always loved her music. I am trying to get all of her cd's. I love the songs on the cd and most of all I love her voice. There is nothing I dislike about the cd.

Pros: 5 octave voice; great 70's music
Cons: a little too long; 1 or 2 songs are less than great

Pros: It has 17 quality songs on it
Cons: None!
Listening to the voice of Minnie Riperton is like resting on a cloud of heaven. Her voice is enraptured with love and color. I love the energy that she brings to the sound of music. Her vocals produced clear, beautiful notes. Her voice was warm. Minnie Riperton was a soprano. She had a five and a half octave range. She had the ability to hit the whistle register which is said to be the highest register of the human voice.
