When I saw the "hole" on the sole of the club, my first thought was "knockoff".... But after taking a closer look, it's actually an OptiFit club! (a fitting model, not the I-Mix for normal purchase) The driver is a cannon! The x-stiff Blue Board on the FT-3 Tour really puts it out there!
Golf club (used) was in great condition, super fast shipping and excellent communication. Would recommend this seller to anyone/everyone and would absolutely buy from Austadsgolf again!
I only play callaway clubs and this is the best driver for me.I have hit the FT-5 and FT-i and hit this one much better. It is a great club! I have the 8.5 degree with grafaloy 65x shaft and couldn't be happier.I would reccomend it to anyone.
I really liked the price I got on ebay!!!!!!!! This club is sweet and I love the feel of the swing and distance of the drive. Great club better that the new square head.
I absolutely love this driver. I've never owned my own big head driver so maybe I'm just experiencing what everyone else already knows. I used to drive 250-260 and very inaccurate. Now I drive the ball 290 consistently straight EVERY TIME and I've only been hitting it for 2 days. It's pretty remarkable. It doesn't have the nice ping sound that everyone usually likes to hear, it's more of just a thud and the ball just flies off the club. I got the neutral 9.5 with an nv75 S shaft. I definitely would have preferred an FT-5 or FT-i, but you got to play with what you can afford and for 100 bucks you can't get anything much nicer.
The Callaway FT-3 Tour Draw biased driver lives up to its reputation as a forgiving club for off-center shots (which tends to happen to me quite a bit). When I bought mine, it came with a Pro Force V-2 stiff flex shaft which also helped close the face of the club upon impact. Being a lefty, I tend to have a pretty wicked slice and this club helped me control that a little better. I still have the slice, but it is not as bad as before, and when I do hit the ball flush, I instantly know it with this club. I'm not goig to jump for joy and claim that this club is the answer to my golfing prayers, and it didn't take 10-20 strokes off my game like some other people claim. Its not the club, it is practice and repetition that does that. Nevertheless, this is a good club and if you can find one for around $100-$150, I would definately recommend buying it.
Best driver I have ever owned. I have had 2. Bought one, loved it, but new clubs came out on the market. So I got the R7 425 then the Titleist D1 then the FT-5, none were as good as the FT-3, so now I am back to the FT-3.
There is no such thing in new technology (except for gimmicks, like interchangeable shafts) in drivers for the last few years. I heard this and thought I would do a little research. Results indicated that the FT3 got the ravest reviews of premium drivers, not as forgiving as the FT5, but has longer drives. So I took a chance and bought one on Ebay. Wow! This club (draw bias) has me out-driving my previous Taylor Made 425 by 20 yards or more! I used to hit my drives about 250 yards on a good hit, now I'm easily 270 and have had a couple of 300+. This is the first Callaway club I have owned.....it won't be my last.
I LOVE MY CALLAWAY DRIVER . I BOUGHT IT ON EBAY BECAUSE THEY WERE HARD TO FIND LOCALLY FOR THE PRICE I WANTED TO PAY. I'VE BOUGHT SEVERAL GOLF CLUBS ON EBAY AND HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THEM.
I bought this driver because I have an FT3 driver (10* draw bias). While overall, I was happy with the FT3 driver that I had, I had a tendency to hook it if I swung agressively. (As a opposed to a nice draw with a smoother swing) With this driver, I have found a head shaft combination that I like. I can work the ball both ways ('Neutral' head), with the 'go to' shot being a soft fade. Also, the sound that the head makes is entirely different than the normal fussin driver. (More of a 'thud') The launch angle is also lower and more penetrating. In conclusion, thetour model with the YS6 shaft seems to fit my swing better. (Approximately 92-93 mph)
My old driver was from 2000 and liked the looks of the FT 3. The FT 5 still too expensive for my budget. Love the look, got it on time and can't wait for the snow to melt to try it
I'm still getting use to it. I like the lower weight in the head... It gives a good feel to the follow thru. I hope that it will bring back the distance that I use to have before HT.
VERY GOOD DRIVER, GREAT FEEL & BALANCE. HITTING THE BALL WELL, MAYBE 30 YARDS LONGER THAN MY PREVIOUS CLUB. JUST, THE SELLER TOOK A LONG TIME TO SHIP THE ITEM.
I really like the Driver because it was in excellent condition just like the seller stated . Kind of leary at first but when i recieved the product it was in the shape the seller was staing in her bidding item Thanks.....
club is very good happy with the purchess thanks..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
This driver is great, improved the fade i had to a straight drive. It has a diff sound to it when hit, like hitting a tin can or a door nocker. But i like the sound who cares what it sounds like as long as it's straight and long.Best driver i've owned to date
At first the club wasn't what the ebayer stated as mint. I notified the seller and he refunded some of the money back. For the price I paid after the refund it's a great driver!!!
I bought this club on a whim and was suprised after I tried it. It had a lot of pop to it and a interesting sound and feel. All in all I like the club, it gives me what I want, feel, distance and accuracy. Callaway has done it again.
