I brought it for my son, I played the Burnout games when they 1st came out and enjoyed them, you know good mindless fun but I have moved on to bigger and better but my son really enjoys the game alot, so if you got a 10 yr old this isn't a bad to buy for them
This game is a major improvement since Burnout Revenge and that game completely owned. The graphics on this game are terrific and the crashes are very realistic. This game is pretty much the whole reason I purchased an xbox 360 and it was definatley worth it. The cars on these games are very easy to control unlike other games where it takes you weeks to be able to drive around without hitting walls. With all the hidden things to find and all the challenges this game will give you loads of fun and keep you busy for a while.
This is a game of true excellence. The gameplay is very new for the Burnout company, but they took a shot and were really accurate on the dartboard. People complain of the lack of customization, but that's actually the best part! On Need For Speed you customize a car so it's perfect just like all the others. Having a perfect car is screwed and flaws present an even bigger challenge. Unfortunately, the challenge of this game is not one to be the greatest. I am a great racer and halfway to an Elite License(The "I beat the game" mark) but I know that there are better racers out there. The challenge is great (My friend barely got an A License=not that far) and can barely get any farther. I must say the 3 new classes are also great, and the fact any car can compete in any competition. People also of the same tracks. When you come back to it with a new car and new competition, it is a new track, and this method lets you "get in the know" with the city. All else i can say is, I salute you, Burnout, your game is the racer of the future. I hope to see sequels. So, Burnout, do not let us, the players of America, down...
Ive been playing on my xbox all the burnout series up to the revenge which is on both systems 360 and orginal xbox have that title but I just been waiting to get some money to buy the system to enjoy this title and its everything I wanted in a burnout title. Now in 360 I can create my own music playlist from my computer networking to my other pc I can play mp3 off my pc. But the music and DJ in game is awsome and then the multiplayer games that you get with game are cool you can meet other players online and do challenges beat your other 360 users for best jumps, barrel rolls spins, air time ,burnouts best boost times Play the single player and go to the intersections to find races, burning lap , road rage , stunt challenges with time limit to meet a certain win score , and u get to win new cars as you get new licences.
This is a great game. If you've ever played any of the other Burnout series games, and liked them, then you'll love this one! For sure, the best in the series so far. All around great fun game.
Compares to the earlier versions of burnout, I personally don't enjoy this new game much. It's way too complicated when I just want to enjoy a quick hit and crash race. Now you need to go to auto body repair, gas station, and stop at traffic lights to enter a race...gees. I miss the old burnouts
Love this game but it has it faults. My problem with this game it that once you win a race your subject to playing that same exact race again. However if you really really, like racing games this is the game for you.
This game is a little different than the previous Burnout games but I still love it. What is better than being able to smash into things and be able to reset if you destroy your car.
very detailed and realistic. there are a lot of different levels with a ton of different levels and challenges. My 4 year old son loves it and will not stop. I started to play with him now I too am hooked.
This game is pretty good. It looks amazing, one of the best looking xbox 360 games I've seen. Game play is different from previous burnout games. Instead of going from place to place on a map you drive around a city about the size of Vice City and every stop light has a different race/marked man/stunt run/or burning run. It's a fun game but it can be very frustrating because with most cars you can't even bump into a civilian's car without a 10 second crash. It gets old after about an hour of play. Other than that it's fun. Good buy on ebay, I got it for $35 used.
If you hate the way test drive unlimited is set up, then you will hate this game too. Its a little more fun, but why make a racing game 1 Player!?!? Do they assume gamers dont have friends anymore? Also the view from behind the car sucks and the view from in the car has the camera scraping the ground so you cant really tell whats coming up next. As far as the evolution of gaming has gone, i think this is a step backwards. Apparently its all about graphics now.
The game burnout paradise starts out really fun and easy. Then you start to notice that the map is almost impossible to understand, and if you look at it for just a second while drive you will crash. The selection of views are very annoying, you are either in the car are right on the bumper. Either way it hard to see especially when driving fast. Don't even think about winning a bunch of races and stunt missions until you have memorized every street, building, ramp, shortcut, and jump in the city. The best way to upgrade your license is to do marked man, road rage, and burning routes. This will work until you get a class A license. The game also starts to lose its fun once you get your B license. The level of difficulty increases dramatically and the games sound track and DJ start to get really annoying.
The good thing is the game is 100% free roam, there are about 76 cars to win(by the way stunt and aggression cars are the best), and you can choose to do any mission whenever you want and you can stop that mission whenever you want just by stopping your car for a few seconds. If you lose the mission you don't have to do it again you can just drive around or do another mission. But if you lose and you do want to do it again you have to turn around and drive about 5-6 miles just to get back to that missions start point. But the graphics are good, the animation is good, and every car does drive different.
And just so you know the game does not really teach or show you how to do anything. But if you do something important than the games DJ will tell you what you did after you figured it out by yourself. I went online to find out what I had to do a lot since there is very little instructions.
Warning: Don't play this game for more than 5 hours or your eyes will explode. (Not to be taken literally)
Download the demo on Xbox Live and tell me you don't want more? It's like the GTA series with much better graphics (as well as much better control over the vehicles) and the objective is to tear as much of the city up as you can, literally....well there are lots of side "missions" such as races, and...well not gonna give the rest away.
This game rocks. I love the online feature where you can tear up Paradise City with 16 of your friens on Xbox Live. I love the music that it has on it. Awsome cars. I wish you custmize them. I decided to buy it because all of the Burnout games were soo godd I thought this one would be to. And for only $30 something bucks, what a steal compaired to $60.00. I would deffinetly recomend this game.
Burnout paradise is great in that there is no real structure, you do whatever at your own pace. There are events races at every stop light and the slow motion crashes keep you very hooked on this game. Great graphics and 75 possible cars of all sorts, cop cars to exotic to big trucks, and the speeds that you can do are, well, alot of fun. My only knock on the game, and these are minor, are visuals that could make the game even better, one, there is nobody walking around or physically no one in the car driving like in forza2 and not enough views as forza2, my personal favourite is in the car and you can see the front hood as you drive. Also a speedometer would be nice, to see how, stupid fast you are going. Again, I still love this game!
One of the great things about Burnout was its arcade-y, fast-paced, linear racing. All of that has pretty much been taken out of the game, as you knew it. That's not necessarily a bad thing but it's not a good thing either. Basically, if you liked Need For Speed: Most Wanted, you'll probably like this game. Personally I liked NFS but I do still miss the old Burnout.
