Wow this is such a legendary band that also includes Jeff Healey Lowell Fulson Stephen Stills and Robert Plant. It is intended to be a tribute jamm session but sadly ended in Jimmy Rogers passing but what an outstanding send off! Jimmy Rogers was one of the most under rated but most influential Chicago blues innovators. Originally with Muddy Waters and Little Walter to be in the Muddy waters Band. He broke ground with many of his guitar techniques that any of the rock stars involved say was one of their biggest influences. Get this CD because it sizzles from the beginning to end. Wish I could find it on vinyl but I will just be happy that at least I have a copy of this!If anyone gets a copy get in contact with me at my E-Bay store Albumholics Audiophiles Anonymous.

What do i like? I like the huge assembly of great musicians doing a great assortment of tunes with Jimmy Rogers.What do i love? The fact that these cats aren't interested in pleasing the money changers or the general public..they want to play blues around and with a great american blues player.What did i dislike about it?I guess that rogers didn't dig in with more of his guitar that brings back that earthy Chicago style that i couldn't get enough of.Why did i buy it? Jimmy Rogers....

I discovered this CD by chance and am glad I did. We are a family of music lovers, and one of my holiday traditions is compiling tapes for people. It is an interesting challenge to reassemble themes to fit the recipient and thirty-minute per side limit without large gaps of silence. My brother-in-law plays the harmonica, and that is what led me to this collection. Jimmy Rogers holds an important (though largely unrecognized) place in the history of Rock and Roll. This album is "Mojo City!" The late, great Jimmy Rogers turned out one absolutely terrific tribute album with all his pals, namely Clapton, Mick and Keith, Taj Mahal, Jeff Healy (the blind bluesman who plays his axe on his lap), blues giant, Lowell Fulson, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, and last AND least, Stephen Stills (he is just not a blues singer). Jimmy Rogers died just before this album was completed. I had the great fortune to meet him here in Flagstaff a few years ago in a small bar where he was playing.
